Hummingbird in flight blank 7" square card -  Day 212 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! For today, I have used this really pretty "hummingbird" topper from Hunkydory and various coloured Nuvo drops from Tonic Studios. I first of all took the "Hummingbird" topper and removed all the die-cut parts out from it. I then placed it onto a "Scalloped" edged panel of black card which I had cut out using my Brother ScanNCut . I then added it to a panel of white card which I edged with some "Green (G01) " Generation InX water based ink. Before adding the topper, I placed some red liner tape along the right edge of the front of the card and used some of the TODO Green foil to give it a border. I then stuck the whole panel on to the card using some thick foam strips to give it some dimension. As you can see from the photo, I also used some " Rhubarb Crumble ", " Golden Sunset (Glitter) ", " Dan...

Flowers and leaves - monochrome with a hint of colour photo frame -  Day 211 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! The weekend is here and I have decided to write about this wall hanging that has been made using a 2mm recycled greyboard photo frame . Photo Frame - to make the actual photo frame, I first of all painted both parts (front and back) with some Pebeo Acrylic Gesso paint giving it several coats as it does sink into the greyboard (this is 2mm 240x190mm recycled greyboard which you can buy here ) . Floral panel (main decoration) - I die-cut the panel (which is the "Foliage" die from Tattered Lace) in some good quality white cardstock and stuck it to some of Lynda Chapman's black cardstock.  I then coloured some of the leaves and flowers using the Twinkling H2O watercolour paints ( "Celadon" , "Sea Spray" and "Just Peachy" Making the whole frame up  - Once the paints were dry, I then glued the front of the fra...

Wedding Day - 2 hearts cream hammered card - personalised -  Day 210 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! With the wedding season being here, I was asked to make 2 cards for 2 different couples who were getting married this month and so here is the 1st one (the weddings have now taken place so that is ok)! I first of all took an 8" square cream hammered card and folded back the front part back on itself so it is another flap. I also cut out two border strips ( Sue Wilson French Collection ) making sure that both were the same and stuck them to the front flap of the card. I then went into CANVAS , the web based app for the Brother ScanNCut and first of all used one of the templates in the Stamp accessory bundle (which you can buy here ).and added the heart design to the mat resizing it to the measurements I wanted. I then used one of the more elaborate alphabet fonts and added the i nitials + the  &. I also used another or the fonts and typed...

Special birthday wishes - Trio of flowers DL aperture card - Day 209 of my 366 day challenge

Special birthday wishes - Trio of flowers DL aperture card -  Day 209 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Day 209 of my 366 day challenge and this time I have used a trio of flower toppers from the "Florals" Bigger Book of Toppers from Hunkydory in an aperture DL card that again comes from Hunkydory. Once I had seen these toppers, I realised that they probably would fit in the spaces left when you take out the pre cut circles and frames from the DL aperture from Hunkydory. So I double checked to make sure they did and then placed the top one inside the space and glued it to the inside of the card (where you will sign the greeting). It is great as the scalloped edges fit perfectly and so you can make sure that they are in the right place and the right way up! I then repeated the process with the bottom flower and took one of the smaller sentiment toppers and added it to the centre aperture. To decorate the front of the card, I added 4 d...

Happy birthday - vintage shoe design 6" card -  day 208 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft addicts I have made this quick and simple tentfold card for today's challenge ( day 208 of 366 ) using a die cut from Tattered Lace and the sentiment is one that I cut out using my Brother Scan n Cut machine. Using the "Lu Lu Shoe" die from Tattered Lace , I cut it out in black cardstock (Lynda Chapman's f rom Creative Crafting World) and glued it to a panel which I had taken from the standard templates from the Brother ScanNCut (rounded corner rectangle measuring 9.5x.7.5cm ) and had cut it out in red card. Once that was done, I then added a " Gold and red " frame which I had left over from a Hunkydory kit and glued it to the panel trying to make sure that the shoe was in the middle. I then attached it to the centre of the card using some thick foam pads to give it some height. I then cut out the "Happy Birthday" sentimen...

Good luck with your new baby - Teddy bears - white square card -  Day 207 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft Addicts! So today's challenge is a very simple but cute card suitable for celebrating a new baby's arrival but it could be for a birthday or any other event just by changing the message at the bottom. I first of all cut the teddy bears (which is the " Cuddly Bear" part of the Rococo baby dies from Tonic Studios) in a pale Kraft cardstock and stuck it on to the card at a slightly jaunty angle I then painted the Teddy bear's bow tie using the "Sea Spray" Twinkling H2O's shimmering watercolour paints to add a bit of colour to the die. I also added a couple of small dots to their eyes using a Pigma Micron fineliner pen. Once that was done, I went into Brother ScanNCut's web app CANVAS and used 2 various fonts to write the "Good luck with your new baby", divided them and then welde...

I wish you well - birdhouse (hand coloured) - 7" square Kraft card -  Day 206 of my 366 day Challenge Hi Craft addicts! Today's project for my 366 day challenge is a tent fold style Kraft card which has been designed using die cuts from both Tonic Studios and Tattered Lace . I cut out the "foliage" shapes out from a Tattered Lace die and stuck them to the top of the card where the fold is - the largest one on the left and gradually getting smaller. I then cut out the "Birdhouse Heights" die again from Tattered Lace in white cardstock - I then coloured it using Spectrum Noir alcohol markers - brown shades for the birdhouses and reds, blues and yellows for the flowers and birds. I also cut out the "I Wish you well" senttiment from the Just Because range from Tonic Studios again in white cardstock. To make the card up, I placed the "Birdhouse Heights" topper just underneath the leaves using foam pad st...
