Hi Craft addicts!

This is quite a simple card but I think has been made really striking by the lovely image that has come from the "Enchanted Woodland" paper collection from Craftwork Cards.

So for this one, I first of all had to decide what topper I wanted to use - you can choose from owls, rabbits or deer! I chose the first one which is really pretty and has been designed so that it looks like it has been placed on a wooden ring.

I felt it needed a bit more so I stuck it to some white card and used the 3rd size down from the Tonic Studios scalloped edged circle die set to cut a frame out and I think it makes it really stand out.

For the card itself, I first of all thought I would use a Kraft card but just felt it wasn't quite right so chose this C5 card made from Adorable Scorable (from Hunkydory). I selected a sheet of the papers in the 8" "Enchanted Woodland" paper pad and cut it from the top down to that you can see still see the flowers and just the tops of the trees (I will use the bottom for something later on).

As Adorable Scorable is a coated cardstock, I used Cosmic Shimmer to glue the paper on to it as it sticks more and doesn't show through it.  I then cut out a border strip from a pale Kraft card using the Tattered Lace scalloped border edge dies and placed it just over the edge of the patterned paper so it hid the edge (using fingerlift tape).

I then glued the main topper on to the card using the very thin foam pads you can get from Hunkydory. I also added the smaller topper to it using a double layer of smaller pads (this time from Stix2).

I then added 4 Candi embellishments to the Kraft strip and faux stitched around the edge of the white frame.

For the inside of the card, I used one of the smaller "paper cut" toppers from the same kit which says "Have a nice day" and is some deer in a forest and is really pretty.




















And there you are a really lovely card that is easy to make but doesn't look like it...And of course you can buy this on my website here
