Door Hanger - Birdhouse - Always believe... Day 95 of my 366 day challenge

Door Hanger - Birdhouse - Always believe...
Day 95 of my 366 day challenge

Hi Craft addicts!

Well a new week begins and the countdown begins to my 100th post in my 366 day challenge - I am going to be offering something as a gift to someone so keep on reading!

So, this time I have once again been playing with various media - and this door hanger has been decorated using Acrylic paints, Distress inks, Embossing, stamping and some flowers!
Door Hanger - Birdhouse - Always believe...
This is a house shaped hanger and I didn't want to decoupage it so I first of all painted both sides with Ivory Nuvo Acrylic paint a couple of times waiting for it to dry in between coats.

Once it was dry, I then used a mask (Beady Eyes from That Special Touch) to add the pattern on both sides using a yellow and blue Tim Holtz Distress ink pads.

I then stamped the birdhouse image (from the Victoria Nelson Love in Bloom stamp collection) with some black Versafine ink pad and clear Embossing powder. I still love the way you see the image change before your eyes!

I also used the "Always believe something amazing is going to happen" stamp from the same collection. (I repeated this on both sides).

I wanted the images to have a bit of colour to them so used the fine point of some Spectrum Noir Aqua markers to highlight the birds, flowers and parts of the house.

I also added a paper flower to the bottom left hand corner near to the sentiment on both sides...

Don't forget - if you order something before June 1st, you will receive a 10% discount on orders over £25.00 - visit  www.thehandmadecraftsshop.co.uk
