Butterflies and flourishes - 3 hearts wall hanging Happy Birthday -
Day 107 of my 366 day challenge
Hi Craft addicts!
For today's challenge, I have made this wall hanging using a variety of media. You can get these MDF hearts from a variety of suppliers in different shapes and sizes, but the ones I have used are approximately 8cm high.Heart One
This one was painted on both sides using black Pebeo acrylic Gesso paint and left it to dry. Once it was dry, i used an anti-static bag over the surface and then embossed the flourishes and butterflies with Onyx Black Versafine ink and gold powder I then added some gold coloured "Bling flourishes" at the top.
Heart Two
I then decoupaged the 2nd heart using the green checked paper from Craft Consortium (I used the pure adhesive matt glue from Tonic Studios, Forever Moments). I first of covered the first side and heat set it and then did the same to the 2nd one. I then used an emery board to get rid of the excess paper. I then embossed the same flourishes and butterflies as before this time in gold, green and holographic powder.
Heart Three
For this one, I painted the heart using the Menthol Starlight metallic paint (from Imagination Crafts) and then embossed "Happy Birthday to you" in clear powder.
I also added paper flowers to two of the hearts and attached all three together with brown Grosgrain ribbon (I allowed enough ribbon to form a loop so it can be hung up) using a heat gun as it grabs instantly.
And there you are a decorative wall hanging. I will be adding something similar to my website soon!
