Home Sweet Home - black and white C5 card - Day 281 of my 366 day challenge
Home Sweet Home - black and white C5 card -
Day 281 of my 366 day challenge
Hi Craft addicts!
A bit late today as I am trying to sort out my Dropbox account and so far not succeeding! - Anyway, this is a C5 black and white (with a hint of colour) "New Home" card.
To make the card:-
- I first of all cut out the "Home Sweet Home" die (from Tonic Studios) in white cardstock. It is a long die so you do need one of the larger die-cutting machines.
- I then attached it to some black cardstock and "fussy cut" around it allowing some of the more ornate parts to hang away from it.
- I then coloured the roof using a "Tan" Spectrum Noir alcohol marker and a "Light Green" one for the grass.
- I wanted the card to have an interesting feature so I cut the right hand edge away using one of the "Pearl Borders" die from Tattered lace (about an inch).
- I then coloured through the scallops and some of the edge using some "green" and "pink" Generation INX inks.
- I also added 2 rows of the "Wavy edged" black Peel off stickers to add a bit of detail to the edge of the scallop.
- I then took a sheet of the black and white paper (from Craftwork Card's "Noir de luxe" 8" square pad and cut it so it measured 95x200mm and glued it to the centre of the card leaving an equal space on both sides.
- Finally, I added the main panel on to the card using foam pads.
And there you are a card using a some dies and some ink pads. Don't forget you can visit The Handmade Crafts Shop anytime to see what else I have for sale or sign up to my monthly newsletter here
