Hello! Free spirit lady and dog on abstract background square card
Hi Craft addicts!
Today's card is a mix of die-cutting, stamping and background creating using paints and Pixie Powders - I really like this card and was very pleased with how it turned out (even if I say so myself).
How I made this card:-
- I cut out the Free Spirit (girl) die in white card and then used the dog from the Fun, Free and Frolics die set to cut it out in white card again. Both these dies are from Tattered Lace.
- I then die cut the main abstract frame (I think it is a Stamps by Me die but can't quite remember) in black card.
- I trimmed it down to fit the front of a 6" white card.
- I then created the background using pinks, oranges, yellows and red water colour paints and added some Pixie Powders to it to add some sparkle!
- I used PVA glue to attach the frame to it and trimmed the background from the reverse so that it fitted.
- I stuck the whole thing on to the front of the card, this time using Collall All Purpose glue as it gave me a bit of wiggle time.
- I used a PVA glue to stick the girl/lady to the right hand side of the card, her hand overhanging the edge a bit.
- The dog was stuck to the bottom left hand corner using foam pads to give it some dimension.
- Finally, I used the smallest Pearl border rectangle die from Tattered Lace to cut out the sentiment tag (which I had previously coloured using Cosmic Shimmer Colour Cloud blending ink) and stamped the Hello sentiment (from Altenew) on to it using Black Gina K Amalgam ink.
- I stuck that to the top left hand corner with a PVA glue.
