Hi Craft addicts!
Today's card is easy to make and would be great for all sorts of occasions - once again I have used Hunkydory's For The Love of Stamps for the main toppers.
How I made this card:-
- I had made a start on a gatefold card but thought it didn't really work so decided to use one of the panels to make this card!
- I coloured the panel with Rare Earth blending inks (Lavender Mist, Bluebell and Khaki) to create the landscape.
- I tore a piece of green paper/light card from the DoCrafts Solid 6"x6" pack and stuck it to the bottom of the panel trimming it to fit.
- I then cut out the tree (Bare Trees from Tattered Lace Woodland Pines collection) using brown card and some self adhesive Sticky Roll on the back.
- I also stamped out the sun using one of the circular frames using Yellow Distress ink (from The Essentials inserts Collection - Frames from For The Love of Stamps) and added some of the flowers in an Orange colour to give it some texture and used a water brush to blend them all.
- I stuck the circle to the top left hand corner and trimmed it so it looked like the sun and attached the tree on top of it. I then stamped two squirrels in Onyx Black Versafine ink on the tree.
- I stamped the flowers on white stamping card- from Rare Earth and For The Love of Stamps and coloured them in using Chameleon pencils and Zig Clean Color Pens.
- I also stamped and cut out the 2 mice and the butterfly, colouring them in this time with alcohol markers.
- I attached the butterfly and purple flower on to the grass and sky using foam pads and the sunflower with tape, placing it inside the grass to make it look a bit further away.
- I then cut out a slightly larger layer of Turquoise/green Mirror card and glued the panel on top and placed it in the left hand top corner of a C6 white linen effect card.
- Finally, I stamped out the frame and Warm Wishes sentiment, colouring it in with what ink was left on my sponge dauber and edged it in dark green. I snipped both the mice so I could make it look like they were holding it and glued it to the bottom left hand corner of the card.
And there you are a card that is fun to make and receive which I think is really bright and cheerful!
