Have a wild time! Handstamped and coloured Safari scene 7" square scene - Day 89 of my 365 day challenge

Hi Craft addicts!

Today's card is a really fun and very wild one - Safari themed with plenty of action going on in it.

How I made this card:-
  • I decorated the front of the card using the WILD and footprint parts of the Safari Adventure mask - the word in Green and the footprints in Pure Graphiite Altenew ink pads.
  • I cut a piece of dark green paper measuring 150x150mm sticking it to the front of the card leaving a border of about 1/2" all around.
  • I cut a piece of White Stamping card of 140x140mm which I used as the basis of the main topper.
  • Using blue shades of Altenew and Distress inks blending them in to create a sky effect and then green inks to create the grass area.
  • I used the Pure Graphite inks to create the hills (again using the Mask) between the sky and the grass.
  • I cut the tree out of brown paper (having put some Stick Roll adhesive on the back) using the Bare Trees die from Tattered Lace Forest Pines collection and attached it to the left hand side.
  • Using the stamps from the Safari Adventure set, I stamped out the Landrover (twice), wild animals and safari characters on white stamping card using Onyx Black Versafine ink and added some clear embossing powder to heat set them.
  • I coloured them all in using alcohol markers and Zig Clean Color pens and cut them out. I stuck the two Landrovers together using very thin foam pads and attached two of the Safari characters inside the gap so it looked like they were riding in the car.
  • I also stamped out some clouds which I got from the Brighten your Day set again from For The Love of Stamps again using Versafine Onyx Black ink, cut them out and attached them to the sky using foam pads. I had also cut out the sun and used two layers of foam pads to make it higher than the clouds.
  • Before I stuck the main panel to the green card, I added the giraffe and zebra so it looked like they would be peeking out from behind.
  • I then glued the panel on and attached the two safari characters to each side of it.
  • I stamped out the Have a Wild Day sentiment on to some white card with Onyx Black Versafine and heat set it with clear embossing powder. I then added the zebra and elephant and stuck them all on to the card, adding the giraffe later.
And there you are a card that is fun to make and receive which I think is really bright and cheerful!

This design could easily be made on a canvas but is actually on a 7" card and is made up primarily from For the Love of Stamps and Masks.
