Couple in park - hand coloured and stamped card -  Day 285 of my 366 day challenge HI Craft addicts! I have made up my own story for this card - will have to write it down some time! Anyway, this time I have used a hand stamped and coloured design on Tattered Lace background panel on a Hunkydory card. To make the card:- To make the topper itself, I took a piece of "white" linen effect cardstock (this is from Craft Creations) and cut it out using one of the "Pin Dots" circle dies from Tattered Lace - this one measures 8.5cm approximately. Keeping it in the die (I used some low tack tape at the back), I coloured the sky first of all using "Blue" Generation INX inks masking off the lower part of the circle with some card. Once I was happy with the colouring, I reversed the mask and coloured the grass area a couple of times using "Green" inks (again from Generation INX) leaving part of it lighter nearer to the horizon. I th...

Birthday - abstract flowers narrow DL card -  day 284 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! So today's challenge is a very simple but fun card using a narrow striplet die, some markers and some Nuvo drops. How to make this card:- I took the "Floral Meadows" die from the Sue Wilson Striplet collection and cut it out in some black cardstock (Lynda Chapman's) and backed it on to some white stamping card. I then used some "Green" Spectrum Noir alcohol markers to colour in the leaves and then added some "Green" Stardust Glitter effect Gel pens from Sakura to a few of them. I used Cosmic Shimmer PVA glue to attach it to a narrow DL white card (which I got from Craft Creations). I also used some "Dandelion Yellow", "Caribbean Ocean", "Green" and "Red" Nuvo Crystal drops in the flowers' centres. Finally, I used some "Diamond" and "Triangle" peel off stickers in the cor...

Celebrate! Fairy on fancy background small card -  Day 283 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Fairies once again feature in this card for today's challenge - this time using a Spellbnders die on top of a Tattered Lace one. I think this would make a lovely theme for a boxed set of cards that would make a great gift. How to make this card:- I must admit this is a very simple card to make..so I first of all decided that i would use an 88x114mm card - this one is a pre-cut/scored card out of Centura Pearl which I got from Craft Creations - but you could easily make your own card if you wanted to. I cut out the "Fairy" in black shiny paper using the "Cali"Shapeabilities die from Spellbinders. I then cut out the oval panel out of white cardstock using the Tattered Lace "Pearl Pin dot Oval" die (the middle size one) I used some Cosmic Shimmer PVA glue and attached it to the centre of the card and then placed some glue on just ...

Reach for the Stars (Fairy) C5 card -  Day 282 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Today's challenge has been mainly using Tonic Studios products (along with a C5 cream scalloped edged card from Create and Craft. To make the card including the topper:- I first of all cut out the main "Reach for the Stars" die in black cardstock (Lynda Chapman's from Creative Crafting World) and then again in "Teal" card and then  "fussy cut" around it so that some of the tendrils were repeated in both colours. The "Reach for the Stars" sentiment was cut out in both colours and I then reversed them and slightly offset them when gluing them so there was a slight shadow. I also took the "floral" paper from the 8" paper pad "Mid-Summer Morning" again from Tonic Studios and trimmed it to approximately 8x17cm and matt and layered it on to some black card. Using a taper pen, I then added that layer to the le...

Home Sweet Home - black and white C5 card -  Day 281 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! A bit late today as I am trying to sort out my Dropbox account and so far not succeeding! - Anyway, this is a C5 black and white (with a hint of colour) "New Home" card.  To make the card:- I first of all cut out the "Home Sweet Home" die (from Tonic Studios) in white cardstock. It is a long die so you do need one of the larger die-cutting machines. I then attached it to some black cardstock and "fussy cut" around it allowing some of the more ornate parts to hang away from it. I then coloured the roof using a "Tan" Spectrum Noir alcohol marker and a "Light Green" one for the grass. I wanted the card to have an interesting feature so I cut the right hand edge away using one of the "Pearl Borders" die from Tattered lace (about an inch). I then coloured through the scallops and some of the edge using some ...

Monochrome black & white (with bow)  7" x 5" white card -  Day 280 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Day 280 of my 366 day challenge and I have made this monochrome black and white 7" x 5" card using only a couple of dies and the trusty Nuvo drops! To make the card:- I first of all cut the larger frame out using a "Picot edged" die (using 2 of them) in "Black Adorable Scorable" card. I then cut out the "fancy frame " in white card (it is such a lovely design) I glued it to the larger frame using Cosmic Shimmer PVA glue and placed it on a 7" x 5" white card (from Hunkydory) I then cut out the "Ribbon Bow" from Tattererd Lace in black card and added it to the centre of the card. Finally I added some "Caribbean Ocean" Nuvo Crystal drops in the corners. And there you are a card using a some frame dies and a ribbon bow die. You can buy it  here  . Don't f org...

Thank you card  elephant theme with Lattice background -  Day 269 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Today's challenge uses a small baby "elephant" that I cut out using my Brother ScannCut along with a "Lattice" background and a hand stamped sentiment... To make the toppers:- I used my Brother ScanNCut's web app CANVAS and took the elephant from the Stamp collection and resized it and printed it out in black card. i also cut out one of the "Wavy" line border strips from the standard templates after I had resized it. I then cut out the "lattice/Moroccan style" panel die (I think it is is Sue Wilson's from Creative Expressions in black card. I also cut out the "fern" style leaves dies in a pale green cardstock. I also used one of the "waste" elements from a previous project that I had cut out in the "metallic green" mirri card. To make the card up:- I glued t...
