Inspire - I believe in you.. Wolf card challenge number 9

 Hi Craft Addicts!

Well, I am nearing the end of the task but still do have 2 more cards that I have made from the Pollyanna Pickering "Moonlight" cardmaking kit from Creative Crafting World.  As I mentioned in previous posts, there were two smaller toppers left and so have used my own cardstock to make this and the last one...

Inspire! - Wolf card (from the Moonlight kit from Pollyanna Pickering DL cardSo, here is the ninth card - this time I have used a DL Kraft card as I thought it would be be a change from white. As I still had quite a bit of the patterned (stripey/spotty) paper left, I cut two pieces 10.5x9cm and covered both the front and back bottom half of them (well slightly less than half)* and added some of the black patterned We R Memory Keepers Washi tape to both back and front.

I then stuck the topper on to a piece of white card using Collall All Purpose Glue and cut it so there was a thin border around it. Whilst that dried, I took two Tonic Studios Trellis white and black squares (approx 9.25cm) - and slightly offset the black one on to the white one so that it gave a shadow effect. I then placed the topper on it and using Cosmic Shimmer PVA glue stuck it to the front of the card (just overhanging the Washi tape).

I was looking for a sentiment to add to this card and thought this Tonic Studios Inspirations Sentiment "Inspire" went well and so glue it it at a slight angle to the bottom of the card. I also added some Vanilla pearl drops from Cosmic Shimmer to the top to add some balance and some grey pearls to each corner of the Trellis square.

With this being Kraft card, I felt it needed an insert so used a pre-cut plain one that I had got from Craft Creations and stamped a heart frame from Inky Doodles Take Flight set using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink pad and the "I Believe in You" sentiment from the same set.

I used a Create and Craft tape pen to add a strip of glue to the inside of the front part of the card (nearest to the crease) and placed the insert flat in the card and closed it so that it stuck in the right place. It also means that when the card is opened it opens to the insert straight away (if that makes sense).

And so that is the card finished! I then thought I had better make the envelope a bit more interesting so I first of all added a strip of the backing paper I used in the card to the front of the envelope and a label shaped topper so it can be used to write the address on.


I also added a Tattered Lace Corner embellishment to the flap (this was in cream but it can of course be any colour....





And so that is the penultimate card finished - it is a fantastic "tribute" to the Moonlight Cardmaking Kit from Pollyanna Pickering (from Creative Crafting World) that you can make so many different cards from it. As the saying goes - you are limited only by your imagination!!

Mother's Day flowers card Hi Craft addicts! I really love using Tim Holtz's Distress Crayons and so I made this card with one of the designs I created. How I made this card:- I used Tim Holtz Ranger Yupo paper as the base for the flower design - I used his Orange, Yellow, Red and Brown Distress Crayons - just added a few flicks of colour to the paper and then quickly used my finger to spread it a bit...  I repeated the process several times, changing the size of the flowers slightly. Once I was happy with them, I then used a damp waterbrush to fade the colours out a bit. I also used some of the Ranger Blue and Green Distress Crayons to add a faded background to it. I trimmed the panel so it measured 3" x 4.5" and edged it with a Black alcohol marker. I then glued it to some Kraft card (American Crafts as it has a linen effect to it) and cut it so there was a slightly wider border around it. I attached the whole panel to the front of a 5"...

With Love Abstract flower in pink, black and white on hand coloured flowery background square card Hi Craft Addicts! Today's card is a result of using a background I have created myself using Tim Holtz Distress Crayons along with dies from Toni Darroch's Stamps by Me. How I made this card:- I had been playing with some Tim Holtz Distress Crayons to make the flowery background (it measures approx 5" square as the card itself is a 6" one - to do it, I used Spun Sugar and Picked Raspberry, experimenting with the "strokes"  I used - it took a bit of time to get the effect right - I used normal stamping paper this time rather than Yupo as it gives a totally different effect. I also used a paintbrush and some water to blend them in even more. Once I was happy with what I had done, I then added some green alcohol marker to create the stalks and some faded blue and yellow spots dotted around the pattern. Happy Birthday - Meerkat on desert background 7x5in card -  Day 110 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! I really enjoyed making this Birthday card - especially colouring in the background which I am pleased with how it turned out. How I made this card:- I had previously cut out a few of the Meerkats (a Tattered Lace die) using various cardstocks and thought that this Kraft card one would work well on a desert background. I therefore cut a piece of smooth white card to 110x145mm approximately and started to colour it in. I used Tim Holtz Distress Inks to do this-  Tea Dye, Dried Marigold and Rusty Hinge are the main ones used - making it darker at both the top and the bottom. I also added a hint of green to the centre of the panel. I then cut out the oval label panel in the middle of it (I think it was either a Tonic Studios or Tattered Lace die) - I also cut a similar panel using a darker Kraft cardstock.
