Aim for the Moon..Wolf Card
Hi Craft Addicts!
Well this is the 5th card now out of the 8 in the kit so I am over half way now (maths has definitely improved as I have got older!!).
This time I used one of the 6" cards as the toppers are left seem to be more suited to this size rather than the 8" ones - will definitely have to think a bit harder for the next one...
Anyway, as you can see from the photo, I used the shaped topper and matted and layered it onto some black card - by this time I have had to use some of my own stash as the 2 sheets provided in the pack is definitely not enough for all of the cards. I then cut round the shape so that it had a thin black border.
Having done that I then cut 8cm off the front of the card so it was more like a flap. I then added 2 strips of the checked background (x1 1cm and x1 1.5cm approx) to the edges of the front and inside of the back of the card (I hope that makes sense) but you can see what I mean in the photo.
Having done that I then added glue to one half of the topper and attached it to the bottom part of the front leaving the card able to open. Whilst the glue dried, I glued the topper "Aim for the Stars..." to both patterned paper and black card. The topper was then placed on the top right hand corner and attached with some foam pads to give it some height.
I thought the inside of the card needed an insert so I designed one using one of Pollyanna Pickering's Wolf images on the Wildlife DVDrom (using Craft Artist Professional 2 from Serif) (the insert is 6 x 15cm) and printed it out and attached it using a tape pen. Once you're satisfied with how it looks, you can then add some Tonic Studios Antique Rose Crystal drops to add some detail to it.
I wanted to make the envelope a bit more interesting so I cut a strip of the checkered background paper and a square of the same paper and glued it to the bottom of the envelope. I also found 3 stars which had come from another project and glued them to the top left hand corner.
And so, here is another card made from the Moonlight Pollyanna Pickering cardmaking kit. Again 50% of this sale will go to the EWCP (Ethiopian Wolf Conservation Programme)
You can see how I made the other cards using the Moonlight Pollyanna Pickering cardmaking kit in other posts on this blog - You can also buy them through my Ebay shop soon.
