Wolf Card No. 2 - Moonlight
Moonlight - Wolf Card No. 2 - Birthday (Singing...)
Hi Craft Addicts!
And yes, I have done another one - this must be some form of record...Here is the second card in the challenge I have set myself... this time I have decided to use one of the 8" x 8" square cards and have once again added a few extra embellishments to what was in the kit - I know I have cheated a bit... but most of the items used are probably in your crafty stash!
I first cut 2 strips approximately 6cm x 195cm of the patterned vellum/parchment paper (this one has a green foil to looks "wood-like") and attached them using the red liner tape to the card - I had put the first lot down at the edge and then measured where the next bit should go by marking the card lightly with a pencil.
Having repeated this on the other side of the card, I then added the topper to the oval cream card stock - I must admit that I had used the inside of both this and the black card to make other topper backings so I had to be careful where I put the glue! Once this was dry, I then used a black alcohol pen to make the background of the wolf darker, so making the wolf stand out a bit more. I then glued this to the black card (using the Collall All Purpose glue gives you a bit more time to make sure it is in the right place).
Once dry, I then glued it to the centre of the card using the Collall All Purpose glue again. I found I had cut some foliage in some white card and so used the Spectrum Noir Green pens (2 different shades) to colour them in. I also used the Zig Wink of Luna green pen on a couple of the leaves to add a bit of shimmer to them and then stuck them using the Cosmic Shimmer PVA Glue (the smaller nib - for want of a better word - gives you the option of adding it to the narrower parts of the flourish).
After placing the three flourishes where I wanted, I then added the "Singing for you on your birthday" sentiment to some white card and then the green tartan paper (from Graphic 45) and added it to the bottom right hand corner - I glued this but now think I would have added a bit of height to the card by using some foam pads instead. Also the envelope provided in the kit is large enough to have coped with this.
And so card number two** is done - I hope you like it and will come back for my next one!
