Day 299 of my 366 day challenge
Today's C6 easel card for day 299 of my 366 day challenge is a "Get Well Soon" card using the "Scottie dog and dog bowl" dies from Tonic Studios.
How I made this card:-
- I first of all took an A6 card and turned it into an easel card by folding the front part in on itself and creased it using a bone folder.
- I then placed the bottom half of the easel onto my "Scor-pal" and scored it horizontally every 1/2" and then diagonally using the same spacing.
- I coloured it using the "Brown - BR02" Dimension INX pad to give a "Brick" impression.
- I cut out the "Scottie dog" die from Tonic Studios in black cardstock (Lynda Chapman's black card from Creative Crafting World and placed some cream card at the back and stuck it down.
- I then coloured the "scarf or coat" in "Orange and Yellow" alcohol markers which certainly brightens it up.
- I also cut out the "dog bowl" in silver and black cards and glued them together. I also cut out a "bone" freehand (I need to improve on that) in cream card.
- I went into "Microsoft Publisher" and used one of the "speech bubbles" and added the sentiment "Sorry you are feeling 'ruff" - adding a brown tint to it - i printed it out and added another layer of card to it and cut it out.
To make the card up:-
- I added a thick line of red liner tape and added some of the TODO "Black" foil to it, making sure that it was in the right place of course!
- I then placed the "Scottie dog" on to the right hand side of the card allowing a bit of him (or her of course) overhang the edge and then placed the sentiment to the left of it again allowing it to hang over the edge.
- I then attached both the bone and the dog bowl to the black strip with foam pads so that it made a "stopper" for the front part of the card.
And there you are - a Get Well themed card which I made from a couple of die cuts from Tonic Studios and a sentiment I made in Microsoft Publisher.
