To do sticky note holder - Day 294 of my 366 day challenge
To do sticky note holder -
Day 294 of my 366 day challenge
Hi Craft addicts!
So today's project for my 366 day challenge (day 294) is something different insomuch that it is a "To Do" Sticky note holder using a design I created using my Brother ScanNCut.
How I made this holder:-
- I had had a "To do" Post it note pad and thought I would design a wallet (not sure what else I can call it) to hold it in...
- I first of all designed the whole thing in CANVAS (Brother ScanNCut's web app) - the dimensions are as follows:-
- The main panel is 4.3" x 8.00" (approximately) - i then added score lines to 3.25" and 3.50" and then two more at 7" and 7.25"so it gives you a small "flap" too.
- I then added 2 separate panels measuring 4.3" x .0.25" to reinforce the sides and another larger strip (4.5" x 0.65") to use as the opener.I also drew another rectangle approx 9" x 1.5" along with a back panel of 3.25" x 4.3".
- Once I was happy with the dimensions, I saved it and sent it to my Brother ScanNCut out and cut it out using a double sided Centura Pearl cardstock ( diamond checks on one side and a Damask style one on the other.
- Using a bone folder and scoring board, I scored the sides again to give them a perfect crease and then glued the two smaller panels to the sides using Cosmic Shimmer PVA glue. I then took the longer strip and placed it in the middle and glued it to the back of the holder.
- The Post it note pad has a sheet of paper at the back which is glued at the side, so I attached the wider strip to the inside of the wallet and around to the back and glued it in place using Cosmic Shimmer PVA glue.
- I then covered the whole of the back using the larger of the panels I had cut out so it protected the strip.
- I then added a hook and loop circle to the front of the wallet and the strip so that I could open and close it easily.
- To finish off the wallet - i added a border strip from the "Walk in the Wild" collection to add some decorative elements and finally some "Copper Penny" Nuvo crystal drops to parts of the front panel.
And there you are - a To Do post it note holder wallet that I designed and cut out using my Brother ScanNCut.
