Clocks - make every second count tag on card - day 294 of my 366 day challenge

Clocks - make every second count tag on card -
day 294 of my 366 day challenge

Hi Craft addicts!

Today's challenge is a mix of hand stamping, colouring and some label style dies. I have used the "Time to Celebrate" set of stamps from Hunkydory on a tag from Craftwork Cards.

Clocks - make every second count tag on card

How I made the tag topper:-

  • I took one of the tags from Craftwork Cards "Stamping Must haves" collection and stamped the larger of the "Clock" stamps onto the card using Versamark ink (first of all cleaning the area with an anti-static pad). I then added some "Gold" embossing powder (from DoCrafts) and heated them until they "turned".
  • I then repeated the process with one of the smaller cogs and this time used some "Green" embossing powder (from HoneyDoo) and finally added one of the cogs in black.
  • Once it was right, I then coloured the tag using the inks that were left on two sponges - that is "Blue, Pink and Orange" - i really like the subtle colouring this gives.
  • I then cut out the "Label" shapes (I think they are from Tonic Studios) - the larger one in "Gold" and the smaller one in "white".
  • I kept the white one in the die and coloured it in as it gave a white border around it and then stamped the sentiment "Don't count every..... count" in the centre of it using "Tuxedo Black" Memento ink pad.
How the card was made up:-
  • I first of all added some "Brown and White" Baker's Twine to the tag.
  • I then attached the "Gold" label to the middle of the card with Cosmic Shimmer PVA glue and then added the smaller of the labels to it using some foam pads.
  • I then glued the whole tag to a "brown" card (using Adorable Scorable) at a jaunty angle.
  • I used a Craftwork Cards "Candi brad" to attach the twine to the card.
  • Finally, I added some of the new "Orange Marmalade" Nuvo Jewel drops to opposite corners.

And there you are - a card made using some images I cut out using my Brother ScanNCut, some inks for the background and some of the new Jewel drops from Nuvo (Tonic Studios)
