Just because - Art Deco lady in oval frame 7" square card -
day 171 of my 366 day challenge

Hi Craft addicts!

I have time jumped today as I missed 2 days of my challenge - which I am going to have to catch up on later this week - where I will do 2 ideas a day!!!

Anyway, for today's card, I have used a really lovely image of an Art Deco dressed lady on a 7" square card....

This topper (I think it is from a set from Kanban and comes in different styles and colours) was pre die-cut and comes in 2 parts and so I separated them first of all.- I then took a sheet of black and white 6" striped paper (from Craftwork Cards' Heritage Rose paper pad) and stuck it to the middle of the left hand side of the card. As there was now a gap on the top and bottom of the card, I cut out a long "torn edged" border strip in black card using my Brother Scan n Cut  and glued them to both.

Once that was dry, I then glued on the larger topper using Cosmic Shimmer PVA glue and then added the inside one using some foam pads. I had had an idea of using some acetate in place of half of the actual front of the card but left it as is for this one.

I stamped out the "Just because" sentiment from Inkydoodles in black Memento ink onto some white linen effect cardstock and edged it in black using an alcohol marker. I attached it to the right hand side of the card using foam pads.

I felt it need some colour to it so added some "Apple Green" Nuvo crystal drops to the black border strips and some "clear" drops to the sentiment.

And there you are....a bright and cheerful card and don't forget you can buy from me here
