Blank Monochrome C5 (150x203mm) gatefold card (Kraft, Cream and white) -  Day 181 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Today's card is a monochrome C5 (150x203mm) gatefold card usiing Spellbinders/Creative Expressions dies. The card itself is hammered card which was already cut and can be obtained from Craft Creations here  which are really useful when you don't have time to make them yourself (or can't be bothered to do all the measuring!). I first of all used a sheet of the " beige " textured paper from the " Wonderful Washing Lines " 8" paper pad from Craftwork Cards and cut it to fit the centre of the card and stuck it in using Collall All purpose glue. For the front of the card, I used the Sue Wilson "French" Collection border die from Creative Expressions and cut 2 strips out using a pale Kraft card (which can be bought from Craft Creations).and glued them to the edges of both " gates " as I do thin...

Take it Easy - Leopard on branch - Pollyanna Pickering 5" x 7" card -  Day 180 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! So for today's challenge, I have decided to use one of the inserts from the " Walk in the Wild " insert collection from Pollyanna Pickering that Creative Crafting Wolrld sells. I really love this image as it is so striking and thought it might be an idea to cut it into different sections and see what happens! So, I first of all cut the 2 patterned edges off and glued them to either side of the card so that it matched on both sides. I then cut off the main image and added it to some cardstock (any will do but I used Lynda Chapman's black version) and separated the leopard section from the 2 black parts. I then took the section that had the sentiment " Take it Easy " on it and turned it upside down to make sure first that it was in the right place. I cut it out and using a tape runner, attached it to the inside of...

Thank you - floral 5" x 7" card (Adorable Scorable) -  day 179 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Today's card is a stylish "Thank You" card using a Crafter's Companion Create a Card die template. I first of all hand coloured some white linen cardstock (I like the texture) with some distress inks (both Tim Holtz , Generation INX and DoCrafts ) to give it an "Ombre" feel  in greens , yellows and oranges and let it dry. Meanwhile, I then cut out the " Thank You " panel using the Crafter's Companion Die'sire Create a Card die in white cardstock. and left a small border round it and coloured it using " green" Spectrum Noir alcohol markers. I also used one of their " red " Glitter " Sparkle pens " to colour in a couple of the flowers. I then used some " Red " and " Yellow " Nuvo crystal drops from Tonic Studios to the centres of those and a couple of ...

Dinosaurs  on hand coloured 5" x 7" white card -  Day 178 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! So for today's card, I have made this cute dinosaur themed 5" x 7" card using a hand coloured background and stamped images. I first of all took a piece of card measuring 4" x 5.5" (approximately) and coloured it in using the Red , Orange , Green , Purple and blue Generation INX pads - I used some torn off paper strips to define where I wanted the different shades to be. I then stamped the main dinosaur image from the " Dinosaurs " collection by Sharon Bennett from Hobby Art using a  Versafine " Onyx Black " ink pad and let it dry. Once it was I used a DoCrafts Artiste "Olive Green " dual tip brush marker to colour it in (am not sure if it is a girl or boy - but could add a bow or something to show that). I used a fine paintbrush to lighten some areas and the brush marker around some of the edges agai...

Art Deco/30's couple on 6" square card -  Day 177 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Today's card is a nod to the Art Deco/1930's as the topper is really bright and cheerful. I have had it some time so am not really sure where it came from but still.... The card itself is very simple to make - I first of all used the "Best Wishes" line sentiment from Clarity stamps using a black Versafine ink pad and added it to all four sides having made sure that the topper fits within them. I then added some foam pads to the topper and placed it in the middle of the card. I then added some "Caribbean Ocean" Gloss Nuvo crystal drops. I have left the inside blank so it can be added to at a latest stage. And there you are....a bright and cheerful card and don't forget you can buy from me   here You can visit my website  The Handmade Crafts Shop  to see what else I have for sale. Products and items you may need to make this car...

Hello - Owls and flowers 5" x 7" Kraft Card -  Day 176 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Owls are always popular so for today's challenge ( day 176 ), I have made this really pretty 5" x 7" Kraft card. I first of all used my We R Memory Keepers Corner chomper (Scallop edge) and shaped all the corners. I also repeated this with the cream insert to match it. I then cut out 2 jagged edged borders (one pale blue and the other black ) using a template on my Brother Scan n Cut and stuck them to the left hand side of the card. I then cut out the largest circle from the " Have a Beautiful Day " circle frame die from Tonic Studios in black card and glued the " Owl and flowers " topper that came from the " Enchanted Woodland " card making kit from Craftwork Cards. I had also cut out the " Hello " sentiment when cutting out the border strips and so glued them together, slightly offsetting them to give t...

Take it easy... Leopard on branch 7" square card -  day 175 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! So I am once again using one of the wonderful images of a leopard l ying on a branch that is part of the " Walk in the Wild " cardmaking kit from Pollyanna Pickering that Creative Crafting World brought out a few months ago. I first of all cut out a scalloped circle using the " Pin dot Circle " die from Tattered Lace and hand coloured it using blue, pink , orange and purple " Generation INX " pads and stuck the round topper on to it. I then cut out a strip of black card using one of the pre-installed templates on my Brother Scan n Cut and placed one on the left hand side of the card (after I had glued the blue and white patterned border that came with the " Walk in the Wild " kit on it) and stuck it down. With the remaining piece, I cut it into two and stuck one part on the left hand edge of the card and measuring ...
