Inspire - I believe in you... Wolf Card Challenge No. 9

Image
Products that you will need to make this project Inspire - I believe in you.. Wolf card challenge number 9 Hi Craft Addicts ! Well, I am nearing the end of the task but still do have 2 more cards that I have made from the Pollyanna Pickering " Moonlight " cardmaking kit from Creative Crafting World.  As I mentioned in previous posts, there were two smaller toppers left and so have used my own cardstock to make this and the last one... So, here is the ninth card - this time I have used a DL Kraft card as I thought it would be be a change from white. As I still had quite a bit of the patterned (stripey/spotty) paper left, I cut two pieces 10.5x9cm and covered both the front and back bottom half of them (well slightly less than half)* and added some of the black patterned We R Memory Keepers Washi tape to both back and front. I then stuck the topper on to a piece of white card using Collall All Purpose Glue and cut it so there was a thin border around it. Whilst...

If the Sun and Moon.... Wolf Card Challenge No. 8

If the Sun and Moon... Wolf Card Challenge No. 8 Hi Craft Addicts! Well I am now down to the last card so have kept the one I am most pleased with to last (though there are a couple smaller cards to come..). I think the reason I like it is that is quite simple and the colours used just seem to work (well I hope they do anyway). So, for this one, I used the square topper that is 5cm and placed it on some cream linen cardstock (I got mine from Craft Creations ). I then used a green Spectrum Noir alcohol markers around the edges to make it stand out a bit.  I then cut a square ( 7.5cm ) with the Spellbinders Square Swatches die in black Hunkydory Adorable Scorable and layered the topper on to it. I used Cosmic Shimmer PVA glue to do this as it does "grab" very well which you need for the black cardstock. I used a pre die-cut green, black and white diagonal striped matt that I got from a Kanban Christmas pack and then added the layered topper on to...

All My Love.. Wolf Card Challenge 7

All My Love...May all your dreams come true..  Hi Craft addicts! So, I am now reaching the last few cards that I have made from the Moonlight (Wolf) Cardmaking Kit from Pollyanna Pickering which Creative Crafting World produced. If you want to buy the kit, the link to their site is at the end of this blog..(but I hope you will read it before you scroll down..) There are now a few small toppers left and 2 cards (1 of each size) and for this card I used the 8" square card and the square topper with the purple border. There aren't any sentiments left so have used a die-cut one fro the front and a stamped one for the inside (using my own design of insert again).  To start with I added the topper on to a matt of linen effect cream card (approx 12cm) at an angle and then using some black card (more of my own stock) I used a Tonic die for a shaped aperture (10.5cm)  (the aperture just covers the original frame) and stuck it on to the cream card and topp...

You are a True Friend.... Wolf Card No. 6

Image
You Are a True Friend.... Hi Craft Addicts!  And now card number 6 (you will be glad to know there are only 2 more left in this challenge! So, for this one I thought I would go for something a bit different and try some new (well to me anyway) techniques - not sure they all succeeded but still it is good to know for next time! I chose an 8" square card ( with its' envelope), the round Wolf topper and " You are a true friend - the one who shines day and night " sentiment. I cut a strip of the white and black patterned paper (the one that looks like snowflakes) approximately 14cm x 20cm  and glued it to the card covering both front and back. I then used some " Greek key " We R Memory Keepers Washi tape to the edge on both sides so that it added another border. I then used some Memento Pistachio Ink (I have the dew drop pad) to "distress" the edges (This is the bit that i am not sure about) of both front and back and ...

Aim for the Moon..Wolf Card

Image
Hi Craft Addicts! Well this is the 5th card now out of the 8 in the kit so I am over half way now (maths has definitely improved as I have got older!!). This time I used one of the 6" cards as the toppers are left seem to be more suited to this size rather than the 8" ones - will definitely have to think a bit harder for the next one... Anyway, as you can see from the photo, I used the shaped topper and matted and layered it onto some black card - by this time I have had to use some of my own stash as the 2 sheets provided in the pack is definitely not enough for all of the cards. I then cut round the shape so that it had a thin black border. Having done that I then cut 8cm off the front of the card so it was more like a flap. I then added 2 strips of the checked background ( x1 1cm and x1 1.5cm approx) to the edges of the front and inside of the back of the card (I hope that makes sense) but you can see what I mean in the photo. Having done that I then add...

With Love Card No. 4 from Wolf Card challenge..

Image
Hi Craft Addicts! So here is number 4 card that has come out of the Pollyanna Pickering Moonlight (Wolf) Cardmaking kit. . I have to admit that it started out differently to what I thought it would but am pleased with it anyway.... I used one of the 8" (20x20cm) square cards that came in the kit and cut the front cover so that it measured 12cm. I then used the Plush Peony Die from Tonic Studios to cut the border out on the back side of the card and kept the flower parts for another project. After making sure that it was cut out properly, I used my Scor-pal and scored it so that it could fold over the front side of the card. I then used my scoring tool to burnish the crease so that it lay flat. Once I was satisfied that it looked ok, I cut a strip 6 x 20cm from both the black card and floral acetate and taped them together using red liner ultra strong tape (as this is a patterned acetate the tape doesn't show) and glued it to the right hand side of the fron...
