Seeing is Believing.... for a special friend A5 scalloped edge card
Seeing is Believing.... for a special friend A5 scalloped edge card
Hi Craft addicts!
Today's card I made using the Seeing stamp from Visible Image, a resist technique and some stamping... if you want to read more then see below!
How I made this card:-
- I first of all took a piece of white card (approx 5" x 4") and stamped the eye image in the middle of it with Versamark ink (I had used an anti-static bag beforehand to get rid of any grease etc).
- Once I was happy that it had stamped the whole image (if you use a stamping platform then you can make sure that this is done) - I covered it with white embossing powder and heat set it.
- I then used a variety of dye based ink pads (blues, yellows, pinks and red) to cover the whole piece of card until I liked the effect and then cut it using the largest die in the3 Monza set from Tattered Lace.
- I used a piece of kitchen roll to clean any excess ink from the eye image. I also used some blue Tim Holtz Distress Crayon to colour the pupil in.
- I attached the whole panel on to some cream/ivory linen effect card and trimmed around the edge so only a bit of it showed.
- Once that had been done, I put it in to the Skinny Woodgrain Embossing folder (by Creative Expressions) and embossed it using my Gemini machine.
- I stuck the whole panel in the centre of an A5 scalloped edged white card using a PVA Glue. I had edged both pieces with a black alcohol marker before placing them.
- Sometimes i like the sentiments in stamp sets more than the main image and it is the case with this one - I used the To a Special Friend message from the Enchanting Foxglove set from Crafter's Companion to stamp on to some white card (this time I used the Jet Black ink mini cube from Altenew) and cut round it for a wavy effect.
- I edged it with some blue ink and then attached it to the bottom right hand corner of the card with foam pads.
