Love is in the air... balloon hearts dl card - Day 14 of my 365 day challenge
Love is in the air... balloon hearts dl card -
Day 14 of my 365 day challenge
Hi Craft addicts!
Well I seem to be making more DL cards recently - they do make you think a bit more as to how things can be made and this time, I have made this Love is in the Air one - think it reminds me of those cartoons that you used to see... I had also decided that there should be a red, white and blue theme to it too....
How I made this card:-
- I had an part of an old dl card and trimmed it to make a panel for the front of the card which measures 19.5x9.5cm approximately.
- I first of all stamped the cute couple (from For the Love of Stamps by Hunkydory) using Versafine's Black Onyx ink on either side of the panel and coloured them in using Zig Clean Color Pens (grey, orange, red and pink).
- I then stamped them out again on some spare card and cut them out to use as a mask and stamped the Hearts Balloons first in Altenew's ink - it is such a beautiful blue I can't stop using it! (The only problem is that I can't read the colour on the lid)...
- I then used the masks and added the string to both the balloons.
- I also added some hearts (outline and solid) in red (Tim Holtz Festive Berries around the balloons.
- I then stamped the Love sentiment in the Blue ink and then the In the Air in red along with a trio of solid hearts in the blue again.
- Finally, I edged the panel in blue using an alcohol marker and glued it to the front of the card
And there you are - a really lovely card that is simple to make but looks really good fun.
