Dream - roses in window hand coloured and stamped card Day 21 of my 365 challenge
Dream - roses in window hand coloured and stamped card
Day 21 of my 365 challenge
Hi Craft addicts!
I have made this card using a window aperture card that I have had for ages and some stamps from Stamps by Me and Zig Clean Color Pens...
How I made this card:-
- I had had this pink hammered window aperture card for ages and it was beginning to fade a bit so thought I better use it up!
- I used Tim Holtz Distress inks (red, orange and yellow) and coloured the front of the card.
- I then took a piece of white card (any smooth stamping card will do, though I do use either Lynda Chapman's World of Paper or Hunkydory for mine) and measured it to fit the inside of the card and lightly marked where each aperture was.
- I then took the smaller rose stamp from the Thinking of You Stamps by Me collection and stamped it 4 times in each aperture, turning it every time so make them look slightly different.
- I used Zig Clean Color pens (orange, yellow and 2 shades of green) to colour them in and let them dry.
- I then made sure they fit within the apertures and stuck it down using a tape runner pen and then glued the flap over it to make the card - you have to make sure that you use the right flap otherwise the card won't work!
- Hunkydory had produced some other window aperture card in white card and so I used the frame and panel from one of them and coloured the first one in red (using alcohol markers) and then the edge of the solid panel in orange.
- I stamped the Dream sentiment in the middle of it and stuck them both on to the front of the card using the "frames" as a guide.
- Finally, I used some Orange Marmalade Nuvo drops in opposite corners of the card and then the top and bottom of the sentiment.
And there you are - a card that used a card that I had had for some time, a Stamps by me Stamp, some Zig Clean Color pens and distress inks...
