Just for you wildlife silhouette 5" window aperture card -
Day 4 of my 365 day challenge
Hi Craft addicts!
Day four of my challenge and this time I have used a window aperture card to make this Just for You card. Simple but stylish I think!
How I made this card:-
- I have some of these Window aperture 5" white cards and needed to use them up so thought they would work with this idea I had.
- I cut a piece of cream hammered card to fit the inside of the card and hand coloured it using various shades of green Pigment and Distress inks (with a touch of black to darken the top of it) - I used Altenew inks primarily for this but also Tim Holtz Distress inks as well.
- I did want it a bit darker but made do with this for this card so let it dry.
- I then cut out (using my Baby Blue small die-cutting machine), the Rabbit, fawns, grass and ivy in black card so they would appear in silhouette.
- Before sticking the green card to the back of the front of the card (if that makes sense), I used some blue Altenew inks to colour the frames and again allowed it to dry....
- I then stuck the card using a tape pen (though you could use red liner tape) and worked out where the animals and plants should be and then glued them in place using Cosmic Shimmer PVA Glue - though I do also use Pinflair's Glue-it glue!
- I cut out the Just for you sentiment in gold adhesive cardstock and the backing layer in black and stuck the sentiment to the top right hand corner using foam pads - I really love the sentiments that Lynda Chapman has brought out and hope there will be a lot more of them in the future!!
- Finally, I snipped the ivy to fit the card and added some White Blizzard Nuvo Glitter drops to the frame..
And there you are - a card that is quick and easy to make but looks good I think - and one I would be happy to either give or receive!
