Unicorn - Smile 6" easel card -  Day 306 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! For today's challenge I have made this "Unicorn" themed 6" easel card. I have used a Peel off sticker, some Gold Mirri card and a hand coloured background. How I made this card:- I took the "Unicorn" peel off sticker (which I got from Craft Creations ) and placed it on some stamping cardstock (I use either Creative Crafting World or Stamps Away card) which I had coloured it using "Red, Orange and Yellow" paints to create this fiery sunset. I then cut round the frame to give it a small border and then edged it with a black alcohol marker. For the card itself, I folded the front of the card into the fold of the card and creased it so that it became a gatefold card . I used one of the pre-cut "Gold" Mirri mats (6") from Hunkydory and added a "Twisted Vine" background which I cut out from a Tonic Studios die collectio...

Geometric (Decagon) shape 5" fancy card -  day 305 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! So today's card is a geometric shaped topper (using Spellbinders Designer dies) on an ornate 5" card (from Hunkydory). How I made this card:- I first of all cut out the "Decagon View" die from the Spellbinders Designer Sets collection. I used white card stock and kept the "waste" for other projects.  I then coloured it using alcohol markers (you can of course use any colours). I then took the bits out of the 5" square card (from Hunkydory) again keeping the waste bits. I coloured the centre part of the topper and stamped the "You are amazing.... remember that" on to it using Tuxedo Black Memento ink pad.  I stuck the topper on to the centre part using some thick foam pads. Finally, I added some "Sea Breeze" Jewel drops and some "Sugared Almond" Crystal drops from Nuvo (Tonic Studios) And there you are - a...

A Year wiser... Owl themed 5x7in card -  Day 304 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Today's challenge (day 304) is an "owl" themed birthday card using Hunkydory stamps, Card-io stamps and some colouring pencils... How I made this card:- I took an 7" x 5" card and turned it so that it was landscape and stamped the "branch" that comes in the Stylish Silhouettes "Festive Foliage" series from Hunkydory "For The Love of Stamps" - this can be used for any season as you can add leaves to it too. I then stamped some "Pine cones" again from the same set in both "Onyx Black" Memento ink and some others in "Brown - BR02" from Generation INX using the 2nd Generation technique to make some lighter. Taking the "Owl in flight" stamp from the "Woodland Wildlife" , I stamped it just above the branch and added 2 birds from the "Christmas Chorus" stamps (from Maj...

Chalkboard MDF pallet 2017 calendar - Day 303 of my 366 day challenge

Chalkboard MDF pallet 2017 calendar -  Day 303 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Today's challenge is slightly different in that it is an MDF pallet art wall hanging which I have made into a pretty 2017 calendar. How I made this wall hanging:- The wall hanging itself is made from the Stamps Away "Mini pallet art" kit - I used 6 of the MDF strips and glued them together - to keep the stuck together, I glued two at a time and allowed them to adhere properly. Once that was done, I painted both the front and the back using "White" Pebeo acrylic Gesso paint. I gave it a couple of coats and allowed it to dry in between them. I then added the two additional struts to the back using Cosmic Shimmer PVA glue - this really does strengthen the whole thing and makes it look better too (in my opinion anyway). Using some Collall All Purpose glue I attached the "Floral" background paper which is from the "Mid Summer Mornings" 8...

Floral/Gardening themed card -  day 302 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! For today's challenge - (day 302), I have made a general really pretty card using one Hunkydory topper and a 6" card. How I made the card:- I used a 6" card (cream scalloped edge) to make this card (which you can get from most suppliers). I then used a "Gardening themed" topper from the Something for her collection from Hunkydory. I separated the topper into the 3 main elements and glued the largest frame onto the card. I then stuck the smaller frame to the card at an angle (so it was a diamond shape) and cut the overhanging bits off. I then added the main topper to the card using foam pads. Finally I used some "Pale Periwinkle" Jewel Nuvo drops and allowed them to dry (they dry translucent and are really pretty. And there you are - a general card with floral/gardening theme that has used a Hunkydory topper on a scalloped edged cream card.  Don...

Spread your wings - owl on 6in square card - Day 300 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! So for today's challenge - can't believe it is now day 300, I have made this "Owl" themed card using Hunkydory stamps along with some dies and colouring ink pads. How I made this card:- I first of all used the "Lacy rectangles" dies (I think from Tattered Lace) and cut the largest of the dies in black card and the smaller in white (which I kept in the die and coloured the space inside using "green" dye based ink - I used Generation INX ink pads as they colour beautifully. I added a strip of wavy white card on to the centre of the black panel trying to make it look like wings (I know...)  I then took the "Sitting Owl" stamp (from Hunkydory's Woodland Wildlife set from the For the Love of Stamps collection) and stamped it in the centre of the smaller panels using "Tuxedo Black" Memento ink. Once it was dry (...

Get Well Soon - Scottie dog C6 easel card -                                                Day 299 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Today's C6 easel card for day 299 of my 366 day challenge is a "Get Well Soon" card using the "Scottie dog and dog bowl" dies from Tonic Studios. How I made this card:- I first of all took an A6 card and turned it into an easel card by folding the front part in on itself and creased it using a bone folder. I then placed the bottom half of the easel onto my "Scor-pal" and scored it horizontally every 1/2" and then diagonally using the same spacing. I coloured it using the "Brown - BR02" Dimension INX pad to give a "Brick" impression.  I cut out the "Scottie dog" die from Tonic S...

Party Time - Flapper girls 5x7in card -  Day 298 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Well it is the weekend, so have made this quick and easy card using a really fun topper sheet from Hunkydory,Little Books along with some stars and Mirri card... How I made this card:- I took one sheet of the " Flapper Girls" from the "Deco Shimmer" Little Book of Toppers from Hunkydory and placed it on to some "Rainbow" Mirri" Card again from Hunkydory using some Collall All Purpose Glue as it allowed me some "wiggle" time. I then added it to a 5" x 7" white card (again from Hunkydory) towards the top of the card using some thin foam pads. I cut out the "stars" in matt silver mirror card (from Kanban) using the "Tuck in Stars" die from Tattered Lace and snipped a few of them off and glued them on to either side of the card. I then took the "Party Time" sentiment (silver one) from the ...
