Time passing - with love clocks 6in card -  Day 244 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! For today, I have tried to use different ways of using things, so have used some papers from the "Bohemian Dreams" 8" paper pad collection along with some " Silver" mirri card. To make the card - I first of all cut a piece of the "numbered" paper to 135mm square and glued it to the front of a 6" inch white card. I then took a sheet of the "Silver" Mirri Card and embossed it using the "Small Polka Dots" folder from DoCrafts. I then cut it down to 128mm and attached it to the card so that there was a narrow border remaining. After that, I cut out the "clocks" from the "Bohemian Dreams" collection (2 sheets) and fussy cut them and glued them one on top of another at irregular angles. To finish it off, I added some "Chaton Rose" crystal drops on some of the raised d...

Create your imagination - Oriental tree shaped card -  Day 243 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft Addicts! Today's card is part of a series I am going to be launching on my website in the next couple of days. I have got to design these cards and gifts using both Tattered Lace images that can be found on one of their USB's which are used in conjunction with the Brother ScanNCut and Pinflair's Background Artist series. To make the topper:-  I first of all cut out the white doily shape using a Sue Wilson (Creative Expressions) die and backed it on to some Lynda Chapman's Black card and cut round it following the shape loosely. I then cut out a scalloped circle and inked it using some Generation INX ink pads, Tim Holtz Distress Inks and Altenew inks in "Pink" , "Orange" , "Green" and " Yellow" trying to make it look like the sky. For the tree, I went into Brother ScanNCut's web app CANVAS and took...

Thinking of you - foiled flower technique -  Day 242 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! So today's project for my 366 day challenge is a simple but stylish "Thinking of You" card that uses a foiled flower as the main focal point. How to make the flower embellishment -  I first of all took the Daisy Letterpress and Hot foiling template and used some blue foil on the TODO machine . I then cut it out using the accompanying die in some "yellow" Adorable Scorable cardstock.(I will be adding a "tutorial" to my website shortly as to how to do this) I then used an oval lacy edged die (think this is either a Tattered Lace or Tonic one (really must write things down before I forget what ones I use) in "red" Mirri card. To make the card up... I took a 5" white card and using the "Thinking of you" Line writing sentiment stamp from Clarity Stamps, stamped it out in "Red - RA01 ) ink from...

Tulips (not necessarily from Amsterdam) - hand coloured -  Day 241 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! So for today's challenge, I have used a hand coloured Tulip image on a black lattice circle frame. How to make the embellishments. ..I first of all coloured in a tulip which was pre drawn using Spectrum Noir Yellow, Orange and Green alcohol markers along with a yellow Nuvo alcohol marker. I then fussy cut it and then using a scalpel removed the inside bits. I wanted to give the flower some depth so I cut the middle flower away from the rest at the bottom of the stem and also part of the leaf. For the base layer , I cut out the largest of the Tonic Studios "Trellis Circle Base Set" dies in black cardstock. To make the card - I  glued the black layer on to a 148mm white square card and then stuck the loose tulip head on to it and then added some glue to the stems and leaves along with a double layer of foam pads to the flower head...

5 quick and easy small cards to make on a Bank Holiday weekend -  Day 240 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! I thought for today's challenge (day 240 of my 366 day challenge) and it being the Bank holiday, I would make these 5 quick and easy 3" cards using up bits n pieces left over from other projects.... To make the cards I have used three different toppers from Hunkydory and two images from the  Ruth Watkins designs from Craft Creations, So, i will quickly go through each card (from top (the cup of tea) moving round each card to the bird and plant) Card 1 - Cup of Tea - I took the small "cup of tea" topper from one of the Hunkydory collections and added it to a "Scalloped edged" square which I  punched out using a Woodware punch in green card. I then used a "Lacy edged" die (from Spellbinders and cut out a larger square in black card and lastly cut out a "Picot edged" square in Green Mirri card an...

Happy birthday - Oriental fan - monochrome -  Day 239 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! So for today's challenge, I have once again used the "Oriental" images from Tattered Lace's USB No. 3 to make this simple but stylish birthday card. To make the embellishment and sentimment  -  i first of all took the "Fan" image from the   USB and took it into Brother ScanNCut's web app CANVAS and resized it to 17cm x 11cm approximately and cut it out using black cardstock (this is from American Crafts ). I then cut out a " hexagon" shape in white cardstock again in the Scan n Cut this time the size was 5.5cm x 5cm (approx) and then added the "Happy Birthday! to it using some bright blue and silver peel off stickers and the stars etc that are on the same sheet. To make the card up I glued the fan on to a 7" x 5" white card which I used in a landscape format using Cosmic Shimmer PVA glue. I wa...

T ime to Relax - Oriental grasses and crane -  Day 238 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Been playing around with some of the "Oriental" images that can be found on the Tattered Lace " Typically Tattered Lace patterns " USB (No. 3) along with some of Create & Craft's Topsy Turvy cardstock and some black card! To make the embellishments...   I love the "Oriental" themed images on the USB and have been making a series of cards using them (which will be a post soon) and thought I would adjust them slightly to use on this card... I first of all took the "Crane" and "grass" images and took them into Brother ScanNCut's web app CANVAS and resized them - the crane is approximately 14x8cm and the grass is about 10cm - i duplicated it and flipped it, moved it so that just overlapped the first one and welded them. i then duplicated that and made it smaller. I also added a single one ...
