Day 80 of my 366 day challenge
Hi Craft Addicts!
Sorry for the lateness of this post but better late than never! This card is the first of a series of cards using my own ladybird design in a variety of ways.
I have designed it using CAP2 (Craft Artist Professional 2) and have given him (or her) a green body with black spots but first of all I designed the background using a gradient effect from yellow to green. I then added a lattice effect border strip in the centre and placed the ladybird over it.
I then added a blue thin border and then added a larger white square as the base layer. I then added a decorative border to the top and bottom of it and printed it out. This was then placed onto some silver mirri card.
For the card itself I added a panel of multicoloured strips from Craftwork Cards "Celebration" 8" x 8" paper pad and drew some faux stitches along the top and bottom of the them.
The whole panel was then glued to the centre of the card. I embossed the "Happy birthday" written sentiment in gold (cutting it to fit the card's look) and then placed it on some black cardstock.
I used some peel off letters from Graphic 45 to personalise it - adding some height to both these and the sentiment with some foam pads.
And there you are, one striking (in my opinion) but fairly easy card to make. You can buy this on my website here I think it will make a lovely card to give to someone!
