Handbags, Flowers and buttons Mother's Day or Birthday card -
Day 53 of my 366 day challenge
Hi Craft addicts!
I know Mother's day is approaching but wanted to do a card that could be sent for any occasion not just that one to your Mum (or anyone who you feel is your mum!).
So, I chose an insert from Hunkydory (there are 4 of this design in the kit so you could decoupage certain areas such as the handbags). The image is fun and bright and would cheer anyone up.
I had to cut the insert into various sections and the handbag section it measures 4" x 5.5" and I cut it so that the bunting and the handbags were the focal point.
I cut off a strip of the spotted part and glued it in the centre of some silver mirror card (this is the precut to A6 size from Hunkydory) and then used the pink strip (with the button edging) that was left to add a central border to the card itself.
Using Cosmic Shimmer PVA glue, I then added the topper to the card and then added 2 pink buttons to the corners.
The MUM sentiment was cut out using my Brother Scan n Cut machine and placGelly roll (08) pen to add some faux stitching to the letters.
ed at the bottom of the card. I then used a white
For the insert, I cut the rest of the paper up, making sure that the sentiment was in the right place. As the bunting part overhung the card itself, I cut it off and then glued it back on to the inside so it matched the outside.
And there you are - one bright and cheerful card that you could give to your mum at any time of the year (not just Mother's Day)
