Days 58 and 59 of my 366 day challenge-

Hi Craft addicts...

Since I missed writing my blog yesterday, I thought I better do two today (well am combining them both in one post!.

I wanted to go back to see what I had made using the Raining Cars n Dogs paper collection from Graphic 45.

As you can see from the photo, you can make a variety of fantastic projects and only a couple are actual cards - the rest are either home decor or stationery items.

You can see how I made a lot of these on my blog - I will be making some different ones using other Graphic 45 collections over the next few weeks.

For today, I am looking back at a card I made using the Songbird Couture range of dies from Create and Craft. They really do make fantastic stylish cards and here is how I made this one...

I used a 7" x 5" card and covered it in a purple tartan paper which is from Craft Style (I think) leaving a narrow border around it. I glued a black and white ribbon to the centre of the panel first.

I used the "Songbird" reflections die and cut the panel out in white card and coloured the flowers with a variety of Spectrum Noir Alcolhol markers and  coloured the border in purple. I then cut out the bird element in purple holographic paper which I also got from C&C and placed it on to the white card so it had a shadow effect to it.

I then stuck the the songbird panel on to the right hand side and allowed it to dry. I also cut the "Happy Birthday" sentiment from Tonic Studios Retro series  in both the purple holographic paper and white and glued them together just offsetting them a bit to again give a shadow effect and placed it on the top right hand corner.

This is, as you can see, personalised and I used some of the letters you can get from Graphic 45 in their paper collection (I am not sure which one these are from)

And there you - a really fun, bright and stylish card that anyone would be pleased to receive.
