Be Kind - Rainbow Tshirt A6 card - 365 day challenge

Image
Hi Craft addicts!       Today's handmade card for my 365 day challenge is a quick and easy to make but I do think it is good to look at! I first of all created the rainbow background using Ink Lily Glimmer pens (from all sets) - it is just a shame that you can't see the Gold glimmer from them. I then die cut the main panel out using Spellbinders Petit Picot Edge rectangle, making sure all the bits had fallen out. I then stuck it on to the front of an A6 white card using a dotty glue pen from Crafter's Companion. The T-shirt stamp from the Nothing to Wear collection from Visible Image and then added the Be Kind sentiment (from the same collection and stamped them on to the card using Gina K's Obsidian Black ink. So if you think this sounds interesting then why not:- Follow us on Twitter       Like us on Facebook           Like us on Pinterest             Watch us on You Tube (comin...

Just to say Hi! Hamster peeping out of fairy door card - 365 day challenge

Image
Hi Craft addicts!       Today's latest handmade card for my 365 day challenge is a fun card using some stamps, Distress Oxide inks and a craft knife. I stamped out the Fairy Door using a design from Francoise Read (in her Woodware Stamps range) using Gina K Obsidian Black ink. I then used 3 shades of Brown Spectrum Noir Triblender markers to colour in the door and then Pink, Yellow and Green for the flowers and leaves. I used Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Inks (Salty Ocean and Rustic Wilderness) to create the background. I fussy cut around the image and edged it with a black alcohol marker. I decided I wanted the door to open, so I used my Tonic Studios Craft knife to cut around the door making sure that it could open properly and then cut out the oval window. I had thought I wanted a Fairy inside the house, but decided it would be more fun to use the Hamster stamp from Sweet Dixie, so stamped it out on to some white card again using Gina K Obsidian Black ink and...

Cats make life sweeter..A6 card - 365 day challenge

Image
Hi Craft addicts!       Today's handmade card is A6 and has been made using dies, stamps and colouring materials. I cut out the largest panel (Lisa Horton's Harlequin Bubbles Mini Slimline Die) in Lynda Chapman's Black card first of all. I then cut out a smaller rectangle in white and whilst still in the die, coloured it with a variety of Harmony inks from Crafter's Companion - red, yellow and orange and blended them in until I was happy with the result and took it out of the die to dry. I cleaned the die so that there was no ink left on it. I then cut out the sentiment panel dies which are from the Tags collection from Carnation Crafts - the layering panel in white and coloured it in to match the main background, then the ornate part in Lynda Chapman's Black card and the sentiment panel in white. I then used a dotty pen (from Crafter's Companion) to attach the ornate panel to the back layer and then a normal tape pen to attach the white panel. The sentiment, ...

I'm all ears! A6 white card - 365 day challenge

Image
Hi Craft addicts!       Today's handmade card for my 365 day challenge is a quick and easy card using dies and stamps from a variety of Companies... I cut out the main panel in white card using Lisa Horton's Harlequin Bubbles from her Slimline Die collection. I had previously used some off cuts from Crafter's Companion linen effect cardstock to create a panel and I cut it the smaller rectangle out and kept the waste pieces and then stuck them back randomly and glued the whole thing on to the main mat layer and attached it to the front of an A6 card with a dotty pen as I could cover the whole die cut without any glue showing through the wholes. I had also cut a smaller rectangle using a deckle edged die in white card and stamped the rabbit, carrot and cupcake on to it using Gina K Obsidian Black ink and then coloured them in using Stabilo FSC colouring pencils - I really like these as they blend very well. I then coloured the background lightly with what was left on one of...

Make a wish.... flowers in silhouette handmade card - 365 day challenge

Image
Hi Craft addicts!       Today's latest handmade card for my 365 day challenge is one that I have made from scratch using dies and stamps. I cut out two pieces of white cardstock (approx. 300gsm) using the largest of the Spellbinders Petit Picot edge dies and scored one of them about 3/4" at the top and added some Red Liner tape, removed the backing and stuck them together, making sure that they matched up. I had coloured a sunrise/sunset background using Ink Lily glimmer pens, let it dry and then cut it out using one of the smaller dies and attached it to the front of the card using a dotty pen from Crafter's Companion. I then cut another panel using a smaller die, this time just in white, and whilst it was in the die, coloured it in using Tim Holtz Distress Oxide inks (such as Walnut Stain) so that there was a white edge to the panel. I took it out of the die and then used Creative Expressions Delicate Daffodils silhouette stamp from their Designer Boutique ...

Hello there my friend! Mary Poppins style A6 card - 365 day challenge

Image
Hi Craft addicts!       Today's handmade card for my 365 day challenge uses stamps and dies along with Distress Oxide inks. I created the background first using Tim Holtz Distress Oxide inks (mainly blue shades) and then once I was happy with the effect I splashed some water on to it and let it dry naturally. I used two inverted rectangle dies from Crafters Companion - the larger one to cut out the background and then the smaller more ornate one to cut out a frame in white card. I also cut out the Lady (along with the kite and umbrella) in Lynda Chapman's black card again using the Wild Spider sticky roll to save using glue. The dies are called The Park and are part of the Tim Holtz range by Sizzix.  I placed the die cuts where I wanted them and removed the backing sheet and stuck them down. Once I was happy with the placing, I used the Hello My Friend stamp from a collection from Woodware Stamps directly on the card using Gina K Obsidian Black ink. Fina...

You're my very bestest friend.. flower spray A6 card - 365 day challenge

Image
Hi Craft addicts!       Today's handmade card for my 365 day challenge is a friendship card using a variety of products... I first of all rounded the edges of an A6 white card using Hunkydory's Prism punch. I then used Tim Holtz Distress Oxide purple shades to edge the card and left it to dry. The background is cut out from two pieces of card using Lisa Horton's Harlequin Bubbles dies (one in white and the other in black) and after making sure all of the waste had been removed, attached the black inner piece on to the main panel using a dotty tape pen so that the glue didn't come through and attached it to the front of the A6 card. The flower spray is the smaller of the two stamps from Honey Doo Crafts Floral Reasons set and I stamped it out on to some white card and coloured it in using Spectrum Noir's Illustrator marker pens and fussy cut around it with scissors, but did use a craft knife for the more intricate parts. I used foam pads to add height and placed it...

This is a hug in this envelope...flowers handmade card - 365 day challenge

Hi Craft addicts!       Today's handmade card is one I have made from scratch including the card itself... I first of all used the 15x10.5cm Creative Expressions Noble stitched die from one of Sue Wilson's collection and cut out two pieces of white card.  I hadn't at that point decided to use these as the card itself so I stamped the Dancing Daisies (from Honey Doo Crafts) directly on to one of the panels using Gina K's Obsidian Black ink and then as I had decided by then that I would be using them as a card, I had to choose how to colour them. In the end I chose the brilliant Stabilo's FSC certified crayons which I find are great for colouring in and also blend brilliantly. I used red, yellow and orange for the flowers and two shades of green for the leaves and stems. Once I had coloured it in, I scored the remaining card approximately 3/4" down from the top and then added some red liner tape, removed the backing and attached them together, making sure they ...

Hello and Someone special 2 different 5" circle handmade cards - 365 day challenge

Image
Hi Craft addicts!       Today's handmade cards have been made from scratch using dies and stamps....       For both cards I took the largest scalloped die from Lisa Horton's Nested Scalloped and plain circles collection and cut two of them out in white cardstock. I then scored one of them about 3/4" down (or measure it from one of the scallops) and added some red liner tape to it, removed the backing sheet and stuck the two pieces together (making sure they lined up properly). For the Someone special card I created a green background using Cosmic Shimmer pearlescent watercolour inks and after leaving it to dry, cut it out using one of the plain circle dies in the same collection and edged it with a black alcohol marker. I then used some of Lynda Chapman's Black cardstock to cut out the bird on a fence (Crafter's Companion's Gemini Secret Garden Die and Stamp range) using one of the smaller plain dies to do so (as the die itself only cuts into the car...
