Wishing you a happy Birthday flowers on stencilled background card - 365 day challenge
Hi Craft addicts!
Today's handmade card for my 365 day challenge is a floral themed one (it is a white card honest!) using stamps and stencils with an alcohol ink background.
- I had previously created a background with a purple theme using some alcohol inks (added them to Yupo Paper and used Range Alcohol blending solution to make the pattern).
- I stamped the Floral spray (from Honey Doo Crafts) out on to some white stamping card using Gina K Obsidian Black ink and coloured it in using Spectrum Noir Triblend markers - mainly Purple and Green shades.
- When it was ready, I added a stencil over it and coloured through it with Tim Holtz Speckled Egg Distress Oxide ink, trying to avoid the actual flower image.
- I used Hunkydory's Prism Corner punch and rounded the edges and then used a black alcohol marker to edge it and attached it to the background with some finger lift tape and then added some blue Cosmic Shimmer Crystal Tints ink to a glass mat, added some water to it and spattered some over the card.
- I placed the whole panel on to the front of a 7" x 5" top fold white card, the corners of which I had rounded - using foam pads to lift it.
- I then stamped out the "Wishing you a Happy Birthday" sentiment (from Woodware Stamps) on to some white card using the Gina K ink and then coloured it with some blue ink.
- I cut around it and placed it on the front of the card with some foam pads and glue.
So if you think this sounds interesting then why not:-
