Thank you... Hedgehogs at sunset black 7x5 inch card

Hi Craft addicts!

I think this card is a really cute one and was pleased with how it turned out and is easy to make using some dies and stamps...

I coloured a sunset background using Tim Holtz Distress Oxide inks (orange, yellow and red) blending them in until I was happy with the result.
The hedgehogs scene is a Creative Expressions Paper cuts die set and I cut them out in white and black card - the latter used for the hedgehog part as I wanted them to be in silhouette.
I first of all stuck the hedgehogs silhouette die cut on to the background with PVA glue - but you could also use self adhesive paper on the back of the black card to make it easier.
I then placed the white layer on to it framing the picture and leaving a narrow black border around it.
I attached the whole thing to the front of a 7" x 5" black pearlescent card which came from Create & Craft but I don't think they produce them anymore.
The Thank You sentiment is from an old collection by Craftwork cards and I cut around it giving it a wavy effect and coloured it with a hint of orange.
I stuck it to the side of the card using foam pads.
