Happy Birthday Stained glass lily square card - 365 day challenge
Hi Craft addicts!
I do like this stained glass effect lily die set from Crafter's Companion and this is one of the many cards I have made with it.
- I used the main die and frame and cut them out in black card - the main outline die I had put some self adhesive sheet on some of the card as it makes it easier to place on the white card afterwards.
- I then coloured the stained glass flower in using alcohol markers - I really love the Spectrum Noir Triblender ones as they have the light, medium and dark shades in one pen!
- Once I was happy with the colouring, I added it to some Gold Mirror card and trimmed it so there was a narrow border all around it.
- I then placed it on a larger panel of black card (I used Lynda Chapman's Black Card as it is really great to work with.
- I rounded the corners of a 6" square white card using Hunkydory's Prism punch and placed the main topper diagonally in the middle of it using foam pads making sure that I had the card opening at the top.
- The Happy Birthday sentiment and Stars are stamps from Crafter's Companion Gemini range and I stamped them in all four corners using Gina K Obsidian Black ink.
