Many Happy Returns.. Special Friend Bumblebee DL card - 365 day challenge

  Hi Craft addicts!

Today's latest handmade card is a mix of my own background and toppers which I think work quite well....

  • To create the background I took a piece of white linen effect card and used a variety of Pixie Powders and water from Creative Expressions (well the water is from my home!) - it is such great fun as you never know what you are going to get!
  • I let it dry naturally and then cut it to 3" x 6.5" and used a Kit n Caboodle punch to cut the Art Deco style corners.
  • I also used the Prism punch to round the corners of a DL card.
  • I then stuck it to some Lynda Chapman's Black Card and trimmed it to leave a narrow border - must admit I have just noticed that it isn't straight and am cross about that!
  • I cut out the BumbleBee topper out from the 12" pad from the Bumblebee Dance collection from Paper Boutique (Creative Crafting World) and stuck it to some more Black card with a tape pen.
  • I used PVA glue to attach it to the front of a DL white card.
  • I then stuck the topper to the top of the card with PVA glue again.
  • The sentiments are two separate ones from the same pad and I cut them out with a wavy edge and then attached them to some black card and used foam pads to add them to the bottom of the card.

So if you think this sounds interesting then why not:-
