Friendship with Owl topper from Pollyanna Pickering scalloped card  Day 31 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! I am trying to get rid of some of my "old" craft items and decided to use this beautiful Owl topper from a collection from the well known artist from Pollyanna Pickering. How I made this card:- I attached the topper on to some of Lynda Chapman's black cardstock and trimmed it to leave a small border. I then added that on to some white card and then some Rainbow Mirri card again leaving narrow borders around each of them. Using a black alcohol marker (this one is a Tonic Studios one), I used one of the scallops of the card to mark a border around a white 6" card and glued the whole topper on to the front of the card. I then wanted to add a sentiment to it, so I coloured a pre-cut label shape tag with some Altenew inks (red, yellow and orange) and attached it to some gold Mirri and trimmed it to leave a small border. I then stamped the...

Beautiful Butterflies and flowers A4 photo frame -  Day 30 of my 365 day challenge   Hi Craft addicts! Today is something different for day 30 of my 365 day challenge - this time it is an A4+ photo frame which I have decorated using Stamps by Me dies and stamps. How I made this project:- I had had this picture frame for ages and thought I better use it and so thought it would be great for this project. I first of all, cut out the rose die (from Stamps Away) within some black card. I then stuck it to some white super smooth cardstock and coloured the rose in using various red, orange and yellow alcohol markers - I find that the fluorescent yellow one from Spectrum Noir adds a certain highlight to the whole rose. I added some orange alcohol marker to the edge to make it stand out more... I then used 2 or 3 green alcohol markers and coloured in the leaves. I also added a hint of Wink of Stella clear sparkle to parts of the flower and leaves. I had also cut out...

Happy Birthday Fireworks over skyline in silhouette Kraft card -  Day 29 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! I am really pleased with the way this card came out - was trying out one of the masks from For the Love of Masks collections from Hunkydory and a variety of ink pads from Altenew. How I made this card:- I really love this blue ink pad from Altenew and wanted to try it out with this mask from Hunkydory.  I cut out a square of white Watercolour cardstock to fit the front of a 150mm Kraft card (allowing a small border around it). I placed the mask over it and attached it lightly using some tape and then some masking taper inside it so that the fireworks and silhouette outline were covered and coloured it in using the Sapphire Blue ink pad. I then removed the tape etc very carefully and drew a border inside the pattern using an Alcohol marker - I tried a Fineliner pen to start with but it wasn't thick enough. I cut out another piece of the watercolo...

Have a Great Day butterflies hand coloured C6 card  Day 28 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Today's card is a handstamped, hand coloured C6 card which I have made using Altenew, HoneyDoo and Craftwork Cards. How I made this card:- I first of all cut a piece of white stamping card 3.5" x 5.5" and stamped out the butterfly image (from Honey Doo) with Onyx Black Versafine ink and embossed it using Clear embossing powder. I coloured them in using various shades of orange, yellow and purple alcohol markers - I used a fluorescent yellow one to make them stand out a bit more. I then coloured in the background this time using Mountain Mist Altenew Inks for the grass and Ocean Waves ink pad for the sky. I edged the panel using a Bright Pink alcohol marker and stuck it on to the front of a C6 tent fold white card. Finally I stamped the Have A Great Day sentiment (from Craftwork Cards) on to a pre cut label (again from Craftwork Cards) and edged that too...

Friendship and flowers flower shaped card - Day 27 of my 365 day challenge

Friendship and flowers flower shaped card  Day 27 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! I have been trying to work out how to use the flower shaped cards I have and thought that this Wreath style stamp would work well with it and so used some bright inks along with this wood style card from Kanban to make it. How I made this card:- I first of all stamped the leaf in bright green ink (Altenew) in the middle of the card using the petals as a guide. I then used the blue ink to add the flowers on the outside of the leaves, again following the petals as a guide. I cut out the larger circle using a Tattered Lace die out of the wood grain effect cardstock from Kanban and then a smaller one out from white card again using a Tattered Lace die. I had a "wreath" style stamp which I saw fitted this circle and so stamped it out using the bright green ink which I had used for the leaves. I then used the rose stamp and alternately used Red and orange distress inks to ...

With Love - bluebells and butterflies hand coloured 7x5in card -                                Day 26 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! I had made a smaller version of this card but decided to make a larger one that could be given on any occasion. How I made this card:- I cut out the large serrated edged oval in green self adhesive cardstock and a slightly smaller one in white card. I think this bluebell stamp is really cute (from the Friends of You stamp collection from For the Love of Stamps collection by Hunkydory) and so I stamped it on the left hand side using Versafine's Onyx Black ink. I then coloured it in using Red,Purple and green alcohol markers (either Spectrum Noir or La Plume). Using blue Altenew inks, I coloured the sky avoiding the plant, making it slightly darker at the top. I then repeated this with Green inks to create the grass. It looked a bit bare...

#TBT - Every adventure.... DL landscape card - Day 25 of my 365 day challenge

Image
Every Adventure requires a first step DL landscape card Hi Craft addicts! I was looking back at some of the cards I did last year and still like this one so thought I would post it again! How I made this card:- I first of all cut a panel of white super smooth card and stamped out the "Every Adventure requires a first step" sentiment which is part of the new Rare Earth collection. I used Tuxedo Black Memento ink to do this. I then coloured the panel with the "orange" colours in the "Warm and Cozy" ink collection from Altenew leaving the centre of it white. I also edged it in black using an alcohol marker. I attached the panel to a slightly larger one in "Yellow" Adorable Scorable (from Hunkydory).  The flowers, birds and branch were stamped and coloured using stamps from the "A Hint of a Hoot A6 stamp set from Creative Crafting World. I also coloured them in "Orange and Brown" alcohol markers to give it a watercolour ...

Have a fun filled day - sunflowers resist technique black C6 card - Day 24 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Today's card is as a result of my trying out distress ink over embossed flowers which I think turned out quite well despite it being a bit of a mistake! How I made this card:- I wanted to use this C5 black card and so first of all added a white insert to the centre of the card. I then cut out the 3 different sized slim deckle edged rectangles using Tattered Lace Tall Slim rectangle dies - the largest in Rainbow Mirri (from Hunkydory), the middle one in black card (from Lynda Chapman's World of Paper from Creative Crafting World and finally the smallest one in white stamping card. I decided I would like to try the resist technique which I have seen various videos on, and so stamped the first Sunflower (from the Sunshine and Smile collection from Hunkydory's For The Love of Stamps range) on the right hand side of the cardstock and embossed it in...
