Mon Amour Graphic 45 5" window card -  Day 91 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! I found a Graphic 45 Mon Amour paper pad yesterday and was going through it and felt that some of the fabulous images would be great as part of a window card so... I cut out one of the pages of the smaller images and decided which ones I wanted to use - I decided on two pictures and two sentiments (" Kisses are a better fate than wisdom" and "There is no remedy for love but to love more" and cut them out to fit the window "frames" of the 5" card that comes from Hunkydory. I placed a piece of separate paper behind the frames (after taking the panels out) and marked where the toppers should be placed but to make completely sure they were I added them to the paper through the frames - Thinking about it now, I probably could have stuck them onto the panels themselves but hey ho... I then added some faux stitching around the frames using a b...

Floral 8" square card (purple and cream) - Day 90 of my 366 day challenge

Floral 8" square card (purple and cream) -  Day 90 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! So, I made this card recently as a commission for someone's special birthday but didn't want to write about it until I knew they had got it! The dies used in this were the " Wild Meadow" collection from Create & Craft and so I cut out the reflections templates in cream cardstock and glued them both on to some purple card, Once that was stuck properly, I then added it on to some serrated edged holographic card which I think set it off really well and then placed the whole layer onto an 8" white card. The centre flowers have petals that can be shaped by attaching them in the centre with a brad but I added some matching (ish) pink buttons to the centre of the flowers instead with some hot glue. I then used some green and black Nuvo pearl drops and also the 4 corners of the panel. To personalise this card, I cut out the name using my B...

Tiger C6 gatefold card using a Pollyanna Pickering image - Day 89 of my 366 day challenge

Tiger C6 gatefold card using a Pollyanna Pickering image -  Day 89 of my 366 day challenge HI Craft Addicts! I have once again used a topper from the "A Walk in the Wild" Card popper pad ( Pollyanna Pickering collection) from Creative Crafting World for this C6 gatefold landscape card. This time it is the stunning image of the tiger which has been placed in various frames within it. As it needs to be attached to the left hand panel, I added a backing layer of black card which I trimmed to make sure that it fitted the card! (These toppers fit perfectly on this style of card). I then cut out a long strip of Kraft card using the small scalloped edged Border Scalloped Strip dies (from Tattered Lace ) and then glued them to each side of the card. Once it was dry, I then glued the topper to the left hand side (about half way) so that it was equal on both sides and checked to make sure if fitted top and bottom. I also decorated it with some Nuvo Clear crysta...

Vintage gentleman on bicycle 7" square card - Day 88 of my 366 day challenge

Vintage gentleman on bicycle 7" square card -  Day 88 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! I really love this image from Hunkydory's "Charming Chaps" Little books (really wish they would do a pack of this and the Old Bean one) and decided to make a card that can be used for a variety of occasions.   So I chose a 7" square white card (300gsm) and used one of the Tattered Lace border dies ( serrated edge ) and cut off just over an inch of the front card. I then cut a similar but slightly smaller strip in kraft card and glued it to the edge of the card allowing a small edge of white to remain. I then glued the topper of the vintage gent on a bicycle on the precut panel of gold mirri card (that Hunkydory sells) and then placed both of them onto another panel of black cardstock leaving a very small border in each colour. I glued this to the front of the card and allowed it to dry. Whilst this was doing, I cut out some embellishments using th...

Best wishes Cheetah on branch Pollyanna Pickering card -  Day 87 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Happy Easter to you all! The weather can't seem to make up its' mind today so have been busy making this card and thought I would share it with you. I wanted to try out one of the stunning toppers included in the Pollyanna Pickering "A Walk in the Wild" card popper pad and so chose the beautiful cheetah image lying on a branch in front of an incredible moon. I felt it needed more depth and so added it on to w hite/silver spotted and then black card. I then glued it to a frame I had cut out the middle frame from the " Venetian Lace Layering Die se t" from Tonic Studios in Kraft card, Once it was all stuck, I then used some foam pads to place it on a white 6 " square scalloped edged card. The sentiment " Best Wishes " comes in the pad too so I cut it out leaving a small white border and then placed it on to some of ...

Don't quit your daydream toadstools wall hanging plaque - Day 86 of my 366 day challenge

Don't quit your daydream toadstools wall hanging plaque -  Day 86 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! "Don't quit your daydream" is a great quote and so decided to use this in my latest project. I painted the wall plaque (approx 16x9,5cm ) first of all in Pebeo black acrylic gesso paint and gave it a couple of coats after the first one had dried. I then coloured the toadstools image from the Nature colour pad from Chameleon using red, beige, blue and green alcohol markers and stuck it on the plaque using Cosmic Shimmer PVA glue . Once it was dry I varnished it with several coats of the Zig Varnish Marker pen and again allowed it to dry. I added a border of Kraft paper which I had cut out using the Pearl border dies from Tattered Lace. I stuck it on using the thin strips of foam pads from Stix2. I stamped the "Don't quit your daydream" stamp (from the Painted Inspirations set from Altenew) using a black pigment ink from DoC...
