Evening landscape with trees in picture frame   Day 60 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! So for this my latest blog, I am writing about my latest "landscape" I have hand coloured and hand stamped and then put in a picture frame. To make this project, I first of all placed some Spectrum Noir Aqua markers randomly over a piece of watercolour card. As you can see, i used purples, pinks, blues, greens predominately as they make for a really atmospheric scene. I then spritzed it with some water so it started merging into each colour and then dabbed some of it off using some kitchen roll. I then left it to dry fully. Once dry, I then added some trees to the bottom of the card using the " Trees, Birds and Moonshadow " stamps from Clarity Stamps . I also added some of the birds and the moon image from the same set. I then placed it in the wooden frame - I was going to decorate the frame but thought it looked better just plain. And there you a...

Hi Craft addicts... Since I missed writing my blog yesterday, I thought I better do two today (well am combining them both in one post!. I wanted to go back to see what I had made using the Raining Cars n Dogs paper collection from Graphic 45. As you can see from the photo, you can make a variety of fantastic projects and only a couple are actual cards - the rest are either home decor or stationery items. You can see how I made a lot of these on my blog - I will be making some different ones using other Graphic 45 collections over the next few weeks. If you would like me to make something special - then why not get in touch and make this a real 366 day challenge!! For today, I am looking back at a card I made using the Songbird   Couture range of dies from  Create and Craft. They really do make fantastic stylish cards and here is how I made this one... I used a 7" x 5" card and covered it in a purple tartan pape r which is from Craft Style (I thin...

A beautiful person..birds and flowers decoupaged door hanger -  Day 57 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! The weekend is nearly here so thought I would try something new today for my latest post... this time using a beautiful good quality decoupage paper and an MDF door hanger . I first of all cut a sheet of the decoupage paper to fit the hanger. This one is Bird Tree tops from Craft Consortium and you get 3 large sheets in each pack so you have plenty of it left over!  I then covered the door hanger using the Forever Moments (Tonic Studios) Pure Matt adhesive and placed the decoupage paper on it making sure that all the glue was distributed evenly under it.  Once it was dry, I then added another layer to it and again let it dry (I must admit I used a heat gun to speed it up). To make the edges smooth, I just used a normal emery board to get rid of the excess paper and for the hole, I just cut around it with scissors and then used th...

Rose Garden floral pattern in 9" x 7" picture frame - Day 56 of my 366 Day challenge

Rose Garden floral pattern in 9" x 7" picture frame -  Day 56 of my 366 Day challenge Hi Craft addicts! I had die cut this A5 panel from Tattered Lace (Rose Garden panel) in white cardstock, but didn't want to make a card out of it and had the idea that it would make a great idea for a really lovely focal point in a picture frame. So,I stuck the die-cut on to some black cardstock and then coloured some of the flower heads in a variety of colours using my Spectrum Noir Alcohol markers and their Sparkle Glitter brush pen s. I left some white as I think it allows for great contrast, but did add some of the clear Sparkle pen on them. Once they were dry, I then glued the panel on to the reverse of the "carrier sheet" that came in the picture frame and placed it in making sure that it was evenly placed and closed the frame up. Using a leaf pattern from the standard ones found on the Brother Scan n Cut , I cut some out in the green ...

Oriental bird of paradise revisited - this time in a picture frame -  Day 54 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Another Hunkydory topper this time used in a picture frame which measures 7" x 5" approximately I took the bird of paradise topper sheet from the Hunkydory's " Little Book of the Orient " and cut the main image out and glued it to some black card which I then cut round it so that it left a small border. I then stuck it to a panel of gold coloured Mirri card (it was precut to A6) and then attached it to more black card. I then glued it on the white sheet that came with the frame and placed it back in the picture frame and making sure it was the right way up replaced the backing. Once that was done, I cut out the flower using Tattered Lace floral dies in gold and black which matches the image and stuck it to the right hand corner - and then added a large drop of Cosmic Shimmer PVA glue in the centre and then dropped some ...

Handbags, Flowers and buttons Mother's Day or Birthday card - Day 53 of my 366 day challenge

Handbags, Flowers and buttons Mother's Day or Birthday card -  Day 53 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! I know Mother's day is approaching but wanted to do a card that could be sent for any occasion not just that one to your Mum (or anyone who you feel is your mum!). So, I chose an insert from Hunkydory (there are 4 of this design in the kit so you could decoupage certain areas such as the handbags). The image is fun and bright and would cheer anyone up. I had to cut the insert into various sections and the handbag section it measures 4" x 5.5" and I cut it so that the bunting and the handbags were the focal point. I cut off a strip of the spotted part and glued it in the centre of some silver mirror card (this is the precut to A6 size from Hunkydory) and then used the pink strip (with the button edging) that was left to add a central border to the card itself. Using Cosmic Shimmer PVA glue, I then added the topper to the card and the...
