Merry Christmas Penguin card - Day 343 of my 365 day challenge

Merry Christmas Penguin card -
Day 343 of my 365 day challenge

Hi Craft addicts!

So today's card for my challenge is a cute penguin Merry Christmas card - using dies and stamps to make it!

How I made this card:-

  • I first of all cut out the Penguin die twice - once in white and another in black card. It is really clear where you need to cut it so,I cut the head and body out from the white version and stuck it to the black one, making sure it was in the right place.
  • I then cut out a Torn Edge rectangle in black Adorable Scorable card (making a frame but using a smaller die in the middle) and a larger mat in cream Glitter card.
  • I stuck the penguin on to the glitter card using PVA glue and then added the frame on top of that.
  • I also cut out a larger mat again using a Torn Edge rectangle, this time using a wooden effect vellum.
  • I used some narrow red liner tape to attach it to the centre of a 7" x 5" top fold card (from Stamps by Me) and then glued the main topper on top of that (must admit I have just seen that it is a bit wonky).
  • I stamped two dancing Penguins (from Heffy Doodle's Wanna Build a Snowman stamp set) using Tuxedo Black Memento ink and then coloured them in using Prism (from Hunkydory) Watercolour pencils.
  • Finally, I stamped the Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year at the bottom of the card again using the Tuxedo Black ink.

And there you are -  A really great card to make and one that is even better to give at Christmas!
