Treat me like a Queen of Hearts tag on 7x5in card - 
Day 297 of my 365 day challenge 

Hi Craft adddicts!

 I really love this set of Alice in Wonderland themed stamps from Visible Image and I am gradually working my way through them... this time it is the Queen of Hearts...


How I made this card:-

  • I first of all stamped all of the pieces in the Queen of Hearts set (from Visible Image) on to some white stamping card using Memento Tuxedo Black ink as I was going to use alcohol markers.
  • I coloured the two main images in a variety of colours but didn't use the same colours in the playing card version. I also added some red alcohol markers around the edge of latter 
  • I coloured the letters in the Queen sentiment again in red.
  • I then cut all of the items out - leaving a white border around the words but tried not to have one around the main items.
  • I had coloured a pre cut white label tag beforehand using purple and red Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolour paints and had let it dry naturally.
  • Before sticking it all down, I played around with where I wanted everything to go and once happy, I stuck them to the tag using PVA glue. 
  • I had wanted to make an easel card but the back of the tag had marks from the paints on them so decided it could go on a 7" x 5" white pearlescent card.
  • I had stamped the playing card piece a couple of times, so stuck the 2 hearts on either side of it and then stuck the other one behind it.
  • Finally, I added it to the bottom of the card using foam pads and then added some Ebony Black Nuvo Drops to opposite corners. =
And there you are - a homemade/handmade card that was made using only some stamps, alcohol markers and paints

Hi Craft addicts!       Today's latest handmade card for my 365 day challenge is this Congratulations stamp and some patterned paper. I must admit i can't remember who produced this patterned paper but think it is Paper Boutique from Creative Crafting World.. I rounded the corners of a 5" white square card and thought I would use it as a tent fold (that is with the fold at the top). I then cut out a piece of this foliage patterned paper so that there was a narrow border left when I placed it on the front of the card. Instead of adding a layer of black card behind it, I edged it with a Black alcohol marker and stuck it on using a tape runner pen - so many companies now do them or you could used  a light layer of PVA glue. Happy Birthday Bee card - 365 day challenge

Hi Craft addicts! Well today's card is a bright and cheerful one with a bee theme and I hope you will read more as to how it was made! I first of all decided which of the various beautiful designs I wanted to use from the latest Bumblebee Dance paper collection from Creative Crafting World's Paper Boutique range. After a while, I chose the Bee circle topper and the bee background paper to use as i think they are so colourful. Using the topper as a template, I chose a Tattered Lace Scalloped edge die and cut out a circle slightly larger than the topper and attached it using PVA glue. I then used the Rectangle part of the Standalone Dies from Time for Tea and cut it out twice, once in Lynda Chapman's Black card and another one using the Bee paper from the Paper Boutique collection. I took a 6in white card and cut off about 1.5" from the front of it and then used my Hunkydory Scoreboard to score the back part of the card several times. I used PVA glue again to glue the bl...

Merry Christmas to all circle Christmas Card - 365 day challenge

  Hi Craft addicts! Today's latest handmade card for my 365 day challenge is this one made totally from scratch. I used the largest circle (about 4") Petit Picot edge die from Spellbinders and cut out two pieces of card - the front is Paper Dienamic Metallink A4 card and the back part is Sheena Douglass A4 white willow card. I scored the back part about 3/4" towards the top and married the two pieces together and added some red liner tape, removed the carrier sheet and stuck them to each other. The black frame is cut out of Lynda Chapman's Black card using the Inverted Scallop die from Crafter's Companion Gemini collection and I stuck it to the front of the card using a dotty pen as it allows the glue to only go on places it needs to. I had a scrap piece of red cardstock and I cut the oval bauble (from Creative Expressions Sue Wilson Festive Collection Sparkle Baubles set) and then used silver mirror card to cut out the top part.
