Spooky Hallowe'en scene on MDF plaque - Day 280 of my 365 day challenge
Spooky Hallowe'en scene on MDF plaque -
Day 280 of my 365 day challenge
Today's project is one I have made for day 280 of my 365 day challenge with a Hallowe'en theme...
How I made this project:-
- I first of all covered a large shaped MDF plaque with white card on both sides using PVA glue - This is Hunkydory's Ink Me A3 pad as it is large enough to cover all of it.
- I then coloured the top two thirds of the plaque using various shades of blue Tim Holtz Distress inks (Broken China, Tumbled Glass and Peacock Feathers).
- I also coloured the bottom third with green shades of Tim Holtz Distress Inks to create a grass effect and then some Pure Graphite Altenew ink to darken it.
- I cut out a lot of Tattered Lace dies with a Hallowe'en theme in black card (Lynda Chapman's World of Paper) along with the bat from a file cut out using my Brother Scan n Cut. With the pumpkin, I stuck it on top of some orange card and cut around it.
- I also added some red and white spotty paper behind the toadstool.
- I added small pieces of white card behind the eyes of the cat and used a Black fineliner pen to add the pupils on the mummy.
- Once done, I spent a bit of time positioning them on the plaque to create the scene I wanted and then glued them down using PVA glue.
- The cat and toadstool I placed on the plaque with some foam pads.
- I then pierced through the holes at the top with a pokey hole and added some white cord to it so it can be hung up.
And there you are - a homemade/handmade project that is made using only a few products but is fun to hang up for Hallowe'en!
