Boo! Trick or Treat Bat on gold background 7x5in black card - Day 284 of my 365 day challenge
Boo! Trick or Treat Bat on gold background 7x5in black card -
Day 284 of my 365 day challenge
Hi Craft Addicts!
Today's card is another one for Hallowe'en - this time a bit more stylish as I have kept the colours to black and gold.
How I made this card:-
- I designed the bat frame in Brother Scan n Cut's Workspace by importing a JPG image to it using the Tracing function.
- I then added 2 rectangles and placed them on top of each other and then reduced the size of the inner one.
- Once I was happy with the size, I then subtracted it so that I was left with just the frame.
- I then added the bat inside it, making sure it was in the right place and then welded the two images together. I sent it to my Brother Scan n Cut and cut it out in black card (Lynda Chapman's World of Paper).
- I then stuck it to an A6 pre cut piece of Gold Mirror card (it could have been from either Kanban or Hunkydory) and trimmed it so there was a narrow border around it.
- I used a PVA glue to stick it to the front of a 7" x 5" Black pearlescent card (from Create & Craft's Core Collection) towards the top.
- I then stamped the BOO! and Trick or Treat sentiments (from Bert and Gert's Halloween collection using Versamagic ink on to black card and heat set them with True White embossing powder.
- Before sticking them to some gold Mirror, I then coloured them with red alcohol markers giving it a spooky effect!
- I then stuck them to the gold Mirri and then added them to the card using foam pads.
And there you are - a homemade/handmade card that was made using only a few products but is fun but stylish for Hallowe'en.
