Hello - hares and trees C6 green scalloped edge card -
Day 39 of my 365 day challenge
Hi Craft addicts!
I have been using up some of my cardstock and I have had these green cards for some time and had the idea of using contrasting green paper (from Hunkydory) to make a landscape scene with some stamping involved too!
How I made this card:-
- I first of all tore a sheet of green paper (double sided) which is from the Rainbow Radiance Luxury Printed Paper Pad so that it looked like grass (tearing one part from the reverse so the white core showed through.
- I stuck the darker green paper on first using the scalloped edge as a guide and then glued the lighter green on top of it again using the edge as a guide.
- I then stamped the hares and trees on top of the paper (from the Hippety Hoppity stamp set from Sweet Dixie) - I really like the way that the leaping hare has some texture to its' body due to the paper core.
- I also stamped the grass on the lighter green paper using Altenew Green ink pads so that it stood out.
- I cut out a circle in bright yellow paper (using a Tattered Lace die) overhanging the paper so that it had 2 straight edges and stuck it to the top right hand corner.
- I then stamped the Hello! Sentiment (from Altenew) using Versamagic and white embossing powder as I think it stands out really well.
- Finally I added a cream insert inside for messages etc.
And there you are a card that is really fun to make!
