Happy Halloween Haunted House 7x5in card 

Hi Craft addicts!

So today's card is another Halloween card - this time using the really cute Haunted House stamp from Hunkydory's For the Love of Stamps Halloween collection.


How I made this card:-

  • I took a tree silhouette stamp and added it to either side of a 7" x 5" white card and then added the cute Pumpkin stamp in the middle of them.
  • I stamped the Haunted House stamp on some white super smooth card - Hunkydory, Creative Crafting World or Craftwork Cards or Tattered Lace all do this. I then coloured it in using Zig Clean Color Pens including their fluorescent yellow one for the lighting!
  • I coloured the background on a pre-cut deckle edged topper (from Craft Creations) using Tim Holtz Distress Inks and Altenew inks (Greens, blues and black) masking off the right top hand corner with a piece of card to add the moon.
  • I then added a border to it using a Black fineliner pen and then coloured it in using a blue alcohol marker.
  • Once that was dry, I added the topper on to a larger piece of white card (A6 Super Smooth cardstock - this one was from Craftwork Cards) and again added a border to it this time using a brown alcohol marker and gave it a wavy design.
  • I added the whole thing to the 7" x 5" card using thin foam pads and finally placed the Haunted House topper (which I had cut out beforehand) 
  • Finally I stamped the Happy Halloween sentiment below it using Black Onyx Versafine ink

And there you are - a fun card that can be used for Halloween (but not exclusively!).

  Hi Craft addicts! Today's latest handmade card for my 365 day challenge is this one made totally from scratch. I used the largest circle (about 4") Petit Picot edge die from Spellbinders and cut out two pieces of card - the front is Paper Dienamic Metallink A4 card and the back part is Sheena Douglass A4 white willow card. I scored the back part about 3/4" towards the top and married the two pieces together and added some red liner tape, removed the carrier sheet and stuck them to each other. The black frame is cut out of Lynda Chapman's Black card using the Inverted Scallop die from Crafter's Companion Gemini collection and I stuck it to the front of the card using a dotty pen as it allows the glue to only go on places it needs to. Congrats... square card - 365 day challenge

Hi Craft addicts!       Today's latest handmade card for my 365 day challenge is this Congratulations stamp and some patterned paper. I must admit i can't remember who produced this patterned paper but think it is Paper Boutique from Creative Crafting World.. I rounded the corners of a 5" white square card and thought I would use it as a tent fold (that is with the fold at the top). I then cut out a piece of this foliage patterned paper so that there was a narrow border left when I placed it on the front of the card. Instead of adding a layer of black card behind it, I edged it with a Black alcohol marker and stuck it on using a tape runner pen - so many companies now do them or you could used  a light layer of PVA glue. I then cut a narrow panel (about 2") of the same paper so that it fitted the card and then stuck it to a slightly wider panel of Lynda Chapman's Black cardstock and stuck that to the card slightly left of the card front. There's Gnome one quite like you 7x5 inch card - 365 day challenge

Hi Craft addicts!       Today's latest handmade card for my 365 day challenge is a fun one using a mix of dies and stamps.. I first of all stamped out the Forest Gnome stamp from Francoise Reads collection by Woodware Stamps (part of the Creative Expressions company) using Gina K Obsidian Black ink. I coloured it in using Crafter's Companion Spectrum Noir Triblenders and cut each element out as I decided I wanted to use them separately to make up my design. I then cut out the Cracks and Pots dies from Carnation Crafts in white watercolour card and again coloured them in using a variety of the Triblenders until I was happy with the blending. I coloured a small panel of white stamping card (approximately 5" x 4") with Tim Holtz Salty Ocean Distress Oxide for the sky and then a green ink from Simon Hurley - both from Ranger.
