BOO! - Witch on broomstick Halloween scene 7"x5" card

Hi Craft addicts!

I have had fun making this Halloween card using some Peel-off stickers on a background that I coloured myself.


How I made this card:-

  • I had coloured the background some time ago using various distress and dye inks from Tim Holtz and Altenew to make it look like a landscape at night - I had masked off the moon using a circle of card and then added some Black ink to take the edge of it.
  • I used various Halloween peel off stickers (from Craft Creations) and added them to the background to make a scene.
  • Once I was happy with it, I then added it on to a slightly larger white layer and then again attached that on to a bigger one - I also highlighted the edge of the middle one and added a border to the larger of the 2 and coloured it in using a bluey-green alcohol marker.
  • I finally added it on to a 7" x 5" white landscape tentfold card.
  • Finally, I added the words BOO just near to the witch using a white fineliner pen.

And there you are - a fun card that can be used for Halloween (but not exclusively!).

Products and items you may need to make this card
  • 7" x 5" white tentfold card and envelope
  • Halloween peel off stickers from Craft Creations
  • Blues, Greens and Black distress inks - from Tim Holtz or Altenew etc
  • Zig Clean Color pens
  • Blue and Brown alcohol markers (Spectrum Noir)
  • Black and white fineliner pens
  • Tape pen from Create and Craft
  • Cosmic Shimmer PVA glue
  • Collall All Purpose Glue
  • Foam pads

  Hi Craft addicts! Today's latest handmade card for my 365 day challenge is this one made totally from scratch. I used the largest circle (about 4") Petit Picot edge die from Spellbinders and cut out two pieces of card - the front is Paper Dienamic Metallink A4 card and the back part is Sheena Douglass A4 white willow card. I scored the back part about 3/4" towards the top and married the two pieces together and added some red liner tape, removed the carrier sheet and stuck them to each other. The black frame is cut out of Lynda Chapman's Black card using the Inverted Scallop die from Crafter's Companion Gemini collection and I stuck it to the front of the card using a dotty pen as it allows the glue to only go on places it needs to. I had a scrap piece of red cardstock and I cut the oval bauble (from Creative Expressions Sue Wilson Festive Collection Sparkle Baubles set) and then used silver mirror card to cut out the top part. Congrats... square card - 365 day challenge

Hi Craft addicts!       Today's latest handmade card for my 365 day challenge is this Congratulations stamp and some patterned paper. I must admit i can't remember who produced this patterned paper but think it is Paper Boutique from Creative Crafting World.. I rounded the corners of a 5" white square card and thought I would use it as a tent fold (that is with the fold at the top). I then cut out a piece of this foliage patterned paper so that there was a narrow border left when I placed it on the front of the card. Instead of adding a layer of black card behind it, I edged it with a Black alcohol marker and stuck it on using a tape runner pen - so many companies now do them or you could used  a light layer of PVA glue. I then cut a narrow panel (about 2") of the same paper so that it fitted the card and then stuck it to a slightly wider panel of Lynda Chapman's Black cardstock and stuck that to the card slightly left of the card front. There's Gnome one quite like you 7x5 inch card - 365 day challenge

Hi Craft addicts!       Today's latest handmade card for my 365 day challenge is a fun one using a mix of dies and stamps.. I first of all stamped out the Forest Gnome stamp from Francoise Reads collection by Woodware Stamps (part of the Creative Expressions company) using Gina K Obsidian Black ink. I coloured it in using Crafter's Companion Spectrum Noir Triblenders and cut each element out as I decided I wanted to use them separately to make up my design. I then cut out the Cracks and Pots dies from Carnation Crafts in white watercolour card and again coloured them in using a variety of the Triblenders until I was happy with the blending. I coloured a small panel of white stamping card (approximately 5" x 4") with Tim Holtz Salty Ocean Distress Oxide for the sky and then a green ink from Simon Hurley - both from Ranger.
