Special Wishes - With Love - Butterfly 7" square card -  Day 152 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! I have had this " Bohemian Dreams" paper collection from Craftwork Card s for some time and thought I would make something from it (along with a butterfly from another of their kits.                                                                                                                                                   I first of all covered the clock template in Cosmic Shimmer "Pearl Lustre" Metallic Gilding polish and let it dry and having decided that I didn't think the cardstock was ...

Born to be Wild - Leopard on branch (Pollyanna Pickering) C5 fancy edged card - Day 151 of my 366 day challenge

Born to be Wild  - Leopard on branch (Pollyanna Pickering) C5 fancy edged card - Day 151 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! I have once again used this stunning image from Pollyanna Pickering's "Walk in the Wild" Paper popper pad to make this card. I first of all decided that this fancy edged (wavy) C5 card would make a good basis for it so took out all the bracket shapes and the fold of the card. I then cut out the border strip (Tonic Studios "Beautiful Buckle Strip " die set in black cardstock and glued it along the centre of the card. I then placed the topper in the middle of it using foam pads to raise it up and added one of the "Born to be Wild" sentiments that come in the pad to the right of it. I also added some " Pale Gold " Nuvo crystal drops around the edges of the brackets. For the inside of the card, I used one of the matching inserts - "You're one in a million"   that comes with the ca...

New baby girl 6" square card (with rabbit and balloons) - Day 150 of my 366 day challenge

New baby girl 6" square card (with rabbit and balloons) -  Day 150 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! I have been thinking that I need to projects that aren't ones that I would normally do as they are not necessarily those that I would choose to do! So for today's challenge (day 150 already) - I have made a " New Baby Girl " card using some Tonic Studios dies and a topper sheet from the " Tots to Teens " Little book of toppers from Hunkydory. I really don't believe that girls should be in pink and boys in blue as I love blue and pink - or maybe that says more about me! I cut out the larger circles (I am not sure which die set it is from but when I do I will add it) in red, pink and purple cardstock.and glued the red circle to the top left hand corner of the card and then placed the pink one on the bottom left hand corner making sure they overlapped properly. I then took the cute " Bunny rabbit with balloons...

Have a beautiful day fancy edged white and gold card - Day 149 of my 366 day challenge

Have a beautiful day fancy edged white and gold card -  Day 149 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! So, today's challenge is something totally different to the one I had planned as I was so unhappy with what i had done I threw it away! Anyway, this card has turned out quite well even if it was done in a rush! This was made using a Hunkydory special edged card and Tonic Studios " Have a Special Day" die set and using just gold and white - well with a touch of yellow and gold too! I first of all cut out the outer edge of the die using Hunkydory Gold Mirri Card to give me a solid background and then cut out the inner die i n white cardstock as I think it gives a really great contrast.  I also cut out the sentiment that goes with it in white too. I used one of the DoCrafts Papermania "Folk Floral" ribbons (Yellow and green floral) and threaded it through some of the holes trying to keep the pattern on the right side! I then s...

To a Super Star - to the moon and back - Astronomy themed 7" x 7" card - Day 148 of my 366 day challenge

To a Super Star - to the moon and back - Astronomy themed 7" x 7" card - Day 148 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! So for today's challenge, I have used one of the card blanks from the "Gentleman's Journey" card making kit which Hunkydory produced a few months ago to make this 7" x 7" card rather than use it as it was meant to... The pieces are all die cut and so I separated them and decided which ones I would like to use for this card and eventually chose one of the side panels and the main "telescope" topper and cut the "flaps" of the side panel so it would lay flat. I also took one of Hunkydory's precut 6" x 6" square panel of gold mirror card (I did cut out another frame from the centre as it seemed a waste to cover it all up) and glued it to the centre of the front of the card.  **TOP TIP** Use a microfibre cloth to get rid of any dirty marks on the mirror card! ...

Wine and Vine - blank C6 cream deckle edge card - Day 147 of my 366 day challenge

Wine and Vine - blank C6 cream deckle edge card -  Day 147 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Today's card is a lot simpler but still very effective I think as I have only used dies to create it. I first of all cut out one of the Sue Wilson "Eternal Rings " Striplet die in cream cardstock which toned well with the C6 cream hammered card I had for this project. These cards can be bought precut and scored from Craft Creations here I then glued the panel on to the left hand side (it is slightlly big so you can either leave it as is or trim either end to fit - given that it is a deckle edge it would probably be easier to keep it as it is). I cut two sets of the "Food and drink" dies from Trimcraft, First Edition in black card (again using Lynda Chapman's black card as it cuts so well). and decided that I would use 2 of the larger wine bottles along with the vine and 3 of the glasses. I stuck them down using Cosmic Shimmer PVA ov...

Man with trilby hat in silhouette with guitar - Celebrate! Day 146 of my 366 day challenge

Man with trilby hat in silhouette with guitar - Celebrate!  Day 146 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Day 146 of my challenge and thought another "masculine" card was in order. I made this simple but stylish (well I hope so anyway!!!) I used a 6" embossed card from the "All White" cards from Craftwork Cards as the basis and made it as follows... I first of all took one of the frames that I had left over from the "Shadows and Silhouettes" card making collection from Kanban and glued it to the front of the card leaving the embossed part free. I then detached one of the toppers in the same kit and cut it to fit using the Tattered Lace Pin dot circle dies. Before placing the topper on to the card, I took the "Celebrate" sentiment from Craftwork Cards and coloured it slightly and attached it on the card so that it would show when the topper was in place. I then used some foam pads to raise it up, making sure that it w...
