Congratulations - daffodils tag z fold card

Hi Craft addicts!

I am so glad to be back on here - it has been a few weeks since I wrote about my cardmaking as I haven't been able to do much - life and flu definitely got in the way!!

Anyway, I hope you like this card and enjoy reading how I made it....


How I made this card:-
  • I had some very old candy striped cards from Craftwork Cards and decided to cut them up to make panels for various projects.
  • This one is the pastel one and I cut the front panel into two (measuring approximately 2" x 4" and edged them both with a black alcohol marker.
  • I then took a 5" white card and folded the front in half back on itself so it created a Z fold effect.
  • Using Pinflair Bookbinding glue, I attached both panels to the front and inside of the card.
  • I then cut out the tag (from Toni Darroch's Stamp by Me) in her Green glitter card.
  • I stamped out the largest of the daffodil stamps (from Sheena Douglass's Flowers of Britain - Wales collection) on to some white stamping card using Gina K Black ink (this is a great ink as you can used both watercolour and alcohol inks on it).
  • This time I used Yellow, Orange, Purple, Green and Blue Zig Watercolour pens to colour it in. Once it was dry, I fussy cut around it and glued it on to the tag using the same Pinflair glue - must admit it is a bit tricky to get it to stick.
  • I then added it to the front of the card (only sticking it to the left hand side of the card) again using Pinflair glue.
  • I stamped out the Congratulations sentiment on to some black card (Lynda Chapman's World of Paper), dusting it with an anti-static bag first, with some Versamark ink and then covered it with some white embossing powder (from Cosmic Shimmer) and heat set it.
  • I fussy cut around it (giving it a wavy edge) and then stuck the whole thing to the bottom of the card (again on the left hand side).

  Hi Craft addicts! Well today's card is one that would be great for Valentine's Day and makes use of both dies and stamps! I had cut the backing layer for another project but didn't use it so decided to use it with this one. It is a Rose Gold colour Mirror card and the die is from Stamps By Me (I think). I attached it to the front of a 7" x 5" white card using fingerlift tape as I didn't want to have any glue showing. I stamped the cute kids image out on to some white stamping card using Gina K Obsidian Black ink - the stamp is from Bring on the Boys collection from Linnie Pink I coloured them in using Crafter's Companion Spectrum Noir Triblenders as they make colouring in so easy with the 3 shades in one pen. Hummingbird shadow effect on C6 white card -  Day 267 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Today's challenge (day 267) came about after I had cut out the "Songbird" die from the Couture collection and thought it would be really useful as a stencil using some inks. To make the topper:- I had cut out the "Songbird" die (from Couture by Create and Craft) out in white card and thought that it would make a really good stencil to use as a background. I took one of the Stamping card tags from Craftwork Cards (in the " Stamping Must haves ) collection and coloured over the die-cut in various places (also reversing it so the bird was looking the other way).I used a variety of green ink pads - Tm Holtz " Mowed Lawn " and Generation INX G01. Relax, Calm Unwind 6in black pearlescent card -  Day 265 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! The rain has finally stopped and so I have made this simple but effective card using stamps and dies... How I made this card:- I used one of Tattered Lace Floral Wreath dies to cut out the main topper in white card. I then coloured it with various shades of green alcohol markers and when I was happy with it, I stuck it to some Gold Mirri Card (approximately 3" square) and then using Cosmic Shimmer PVA glue (or Gina K's Connect glue) I attached it to the front of a 6" black pearlescent card which is part of the Core Collection from Create & Craft so it formed a diamond shape. Using Orange, Red and Yellow Bleeding Art Tissue, I coloured some card and when it was dry I used a Tattered Lace Nested Beads Essential Circle Dies to die cut a circle.
