Happy Christmas Snowman on Tartan background Christmas Card

Image
Happy Christmas Snowman on Tartan background Christmas Card Hi Craft addicts! Goodness Christmas is nearly here! This is a fun card I made using stamps, dies and a Peel-Off sticker.... How I made this project:- This is a 7" x 5" white card which you can buy from most Craft Companies - such as Create and Craft, Hunkydory and Creative Crafting World and I have used it landscape instead of the usual portrait. Tartan makes such a fun background that I used this red, green and black one to make the backing, trimming an 8" piece of paper (from a Hunkydory pad). I attached it to the front of the card using PVA glue and then cut a strip of the reverse side (Green) approximately 1.5" wide and the length of the main panel and then another one from the Tartan slightly narrower and stuck them together with PVA glue again. I then attached that to the main panel making sure that it didn't go over the edge. I cut out 3 circle frames - two in white ...

Merry Christmas Snowmen skating square Christmas card

Merry Christmas Snowmen skating square Christmas card Hi Craft addicts! I hope you had a great weekend! Here is a fun card I made using stamps and dies.... How I made this project:- This is a 6" white card which you can buy from most Craft Companies - such as Create and Craft, Hunkydory and Creative Crafting World. I have found a love of all things Tartan and so cut a panel of this dark purple Tartan to fit the front of the card leaving a narrow border all around and attached it using PVA glue (such as Pinflair's Bookbinding or Cosmic Shimmer). I then cut out the largest panel Holly frame die from Sweet Dixie in white card (you will need an A4 cutting machine to do this (such as the Cut n Boss or Gemini). I put it in to my 8" Rare Earth Load and Fold, taped it down with some low tack tape and stamped the Skating Snowmen (from Woodware Stamps) onto it using Gina K Black Amalgam ink.  I coloured the Snowmen in (just the edges) with a couple of sha...

Have a Tweet Christmas....

Have a Tweet Christmas Robins and snowflakes on tartan card Hi Craft addicts! I hope you had a great weekend! Here is a fun card I made using stamps... How I made this project:- This is a C6 white linen effect card which I bought ages ago from Craft Creations but you can of course use any type of base card! I cut a panel of this red tartan paper (from Hunkydory's 8" paper pad collection) to fit the front of the card leaving a border all around it and attached it using PVA glue. I then used a stamping platform (again there are so many brands around - from Stamps by Me Eureka 101 to Rare Earth's Load n Fold.  I arranged the two Robins stamps opposite each other (from a Woodward collection), the two Holly leaves and then the Have a tweet Christmas sentiment and stamped them all on to some white stamping card (This is Hunkydory's Ink Me) using Gina K's Black Amalgam ink. I coloured the Robins in using two shades of Brown alcohol markers (from H...

Happy Christmas Penguins and Igloo square card

Image
Happy Christmas Penguins and Igloo square card Hi Craft addicts! I like using a variety of Companies when making my projects and this card is no exception! How I made this project:- This is a 5in white square card (which are available from a variety of Companies such as Hunkydory, Creative Crafting World and so on). I have had this A4 pad of a variety of Tartan papers for ages and so cut a strip (approximately 2" wide) and attached it to the left hand side of the card using PVA glue. I then stamped out two of the Penguins and the Igloo from Lisa Horton's Penguin Fun stamp set from Creative Expressions using Gina K's Black Amalgam ink on to some white stamping card. I coloured them in using alcohol markers (both Hunkydory's Prism and Spectrum Noir) and cut them out close to the edge, which I then coloured in with a Black alcohol marker. I stuck the Igloo and smaller of the Penguins down with PVA glue and then attached the larger one to the right h...

Merry Christmas Santa, Sleigh and winter magical scene square card

Merry Christmas Santa, Sleigh and winter magical scene  square card Hi Craft addicts! I like using a variety of Companies when making my projects and this card is no exception! How I made this project:- This is a 6in white square card (which are available from a variety of Companies such as Hunkydory, Creative Crafting World and so on) and 1 sheet of 6in paper from Hunkydory's Once Upon a Twilight Magical Christmas which I stuck to the front of it using PVA glue. I then cut out the houses, Santa's Sleigh and reindeer out in Black card (I used Lynda Chapman's World of Paper) and glued them to the card again using PVA glue. I decided I wanted the sleigh to cover the moon as it gives a bit more interest. I used some white card to cut out the Merry Christmas die and attached it to the bottom left hand corner of the card. As I said, this is a really quick and easy card to make that I hope you will enjoy making - if you think it is better to have the blog d...

Cracker Season's Greetings Christmas card

Image
Cracker Season's Greetings Christmas square card Hi Craft addicts! This is a slightly more complicated card (well for me it is) but had great fun making it - see below as to how I made it.... How I made this project:- You need two 5" square cards to make this card - and to start with you need to stick the left hand flap of one of them on top of the right hand flap of the second - I used PVA glue as it grabs relatively quickly. Once it was dry, I then opened it out and cut the flaps diagonally from the top left to bottom right hand corners - reversing it for the right hand flap. I measured the inside of the card and cut out a panel of the yellow tartan paper (from an old Craftstyle A4 pad I have had for ages) and then added a piece of Mustard Yellow paper in the middle of it so there is somewhere to write your message. I then cut two triangles out of the tartan card and stuck them to both flaps using PVA glue. I cut out two Crackers (from a Sweet Dixie die) o...

Rudolph on woodland Sparkly Christmas background 7X5in card

Image
Rudolph on woodland Sparkly Christmas background 7X5in card Hi Craft addicts! I really love creating silhouettes for cards and this Christmas card is no exception - hope you like it! How I made this project:- To make the card, I created the background using watercolour paints on some white card (this is smooth rather than the more textured watercolour card). Once I was happy with it I then left it to dry. I then took some Black card (Lynda Chapman's World of Paper) and cut out the woodland silhouette oval (which is a Tattered Lace die). I also die-cut the frame out in cream linen effect card (from Create & Craft's Core Collection) using the largest of dies from Time for Tea Fishy time set. Using PVA glue, I then attached the Forest die cut on to the background and trimmed it to fit the frame. I cut out the Reindeer (I am not sure which Company it is from) using Kraft card and stuck it to the bottom middle of the scene and used a red alcohol marker to add ...

Santa and Reindeer and town in silhouette with mini Calendar

Image
Santa and Reindeer and town in silhouette with mini Calendar  Hi Craft addicts! I had great fun making these and all from one piece of Hunkydory's Adorable Scorable card.... How I made this project:- To make the card, I used the green spotty embossed A4 Adorable Scorable cardstock from Hunkydory and cut it in half. I then scored one part of it down the middle using a scoreboard to create an A6 card. I cut out the Santa in sled (with Reindeer of course) and the town scene in Black card and attached them both to the cardstock with PVA - you need to make sure they are secure as the bobbles means the grab isn't immediate (if that makes sense). I used the 2nd part of the cardstock and trimmed it down so a Mini-calendar fitted into it, scored it down the middle and attached the calendar with PVA glue inside. Finally, I used the "Have yourself a Merry Little Christmas" sentiment stamp, stamped it on to some white card, cut around it and glued it to the to...

Bird of Paradise Fun and Festive Christmas card

Image
Bird of Paradise Fun and Festive Christmas card Hi Craft addicts! Well today's card is gatefold style using one sheet of Hunkydory's Christmas toppers and a couple of candy striped square cards... How I made this card:- I had these Candy striped 5" (approximately) cards which were produced by Craftwork Cards ages ago and decided I must use them up! So I placed one of the cards upside down and stuck it to the inside of the 2nd one using PVA Glue - I trimmed the left hand side slightly so that it fitted perfectly. I folded both flaps that were created in on themselves so they met in the middle, creasing them with my bone folder to give a good crease. I took all the components out of the Christmas topper sheet and decided which bits one I wanted and decided on the four corners (which I stuck on with PVA in each corner). I then took the Bird of Paradise topper out and stuck it (again with PVA glue) to the left hand flap - making sure that there was no glue on...

Have a Yummy Christmas Christmas card

Image
Have a Yummy Christmas 7x5in Christmas card Hi Craft addicts! Well today's card is a very simple one using one sheet of Hunkydory's Christmas toppers..... How I made this card:- I removed the arched topper from the Hunkydory's Christmas sheet, not using the arch frame as I wanted it to stand alone. I took one of the border strips (it says Merry Christmas) and stuck it to the middle of a 7" x 5" white card - you can use any glue or tape pen. I then removed two of the corner pieces from the collection and stuck them to the top corners using a tape pen. I placed the arched topper over it leaving a very narrow space at the top and bottom. I then placed the Have a Yummy Christmas sentiment strip at the bottom, attaching it with foam pads. As I said, this is a very quick and easy card to make that I hope you will find useful - if you think it is better to have the blog directly on my website do let me know!!
