Have an amazing birthday floral 7x5 white card.... Hi Craft addicts! I had great fun making this bright and cheerful card using dies and stamps and I hope you like it! How I made this card:- I first of all cut out the main floral frame (from Tattered Lace) in a dark teal blue paper and then the main panel again on white card. I stuck the blue one on top of the latter only using the narrow edge to glue it. I then stuck the whole panel on to the front of a 7" x 5" white card using Collall All Purpose Glue as it allows me a bit of wiggle time.. I then used the large flower stamp (from one of Toni Darroch's collection from Stamps by Me) and stamped it with black Gina K Amalgam ink on to some white card. I used Crafter's Companion Tri-blenders (Purple marker) to colour the flowers in and then one of the green ones to colour the stalks. I cut it out leaving a narrow white border around it and glued it to the left hand side of the card. I also used a torn ...

There are so many ways... beautiful... DL white card Hi Craft addicts! Well, here is another card that I have made for #WorldCraftWeek - this time using a Sharon Callis sentiment stamp , Rare Earth inks and an Altenew stamp for the flowers. How I made this card:- I used a pre-cut panel (from Sweet Dixie) of white stamping card and dusted it with an anti-static bag. I then stamped the sentiment... There are so many beautiful reasons to be happy (from Sharon Callis) on to it using Versamagic and heat embossed it with white embossing powder. Once it had cooled down, I then used various ink cubes (from Rare Earth Reaction collection) to create the background. When I was happy with the colouring, I then used a piece of kitchen roll to remove the excess ink so that the lettering popped out and then edged the panel with a blue/green alcohol marker. I then added a piece of lime green self adhesive paper to roughly a quarter of the left hand side of a DL card. I also added a na...

Cherish Every Moment - bird on branch A6 white card

Cherish Every Moment - bird on branch A6 white card Hi Craft addicts! I thought I would carry on with my new resolution of writing my blog again with this simple but effective A6 card that I have made for #WorldCraftWeek (and #TheHundredDayChallenge). How I made this card... I have had this Bird die from Tattered Lace and was nervous about using it as I didn't know quite how to colour it in as I am not proficient at water colouring (so far). Then I had a brainwave and coloured a piece of cream hammered card with various brown shades (using Tim Holtz's Distress Crayons (which I really love) - such as Aged Mahogany and Walnut Stain. I wasn't too careful where I added the crayon but made sure that I blended each area in before I moved on to the next... Once I was happy with the shading (having thought about what colours I wanted the bird to be), I then used a medium paint brush and blended all of the colours in further with water. I used a heat gun to dry it b...

Remind Me.... floral DL Birthday card

Remind me.... floral DL Birthday card Hi Craft Addicts  It has been far too long since my last post and I really must get used to writing one more regularly - I miss the daily challenge that I set myself last year but there is the #thehundreddaychallenge that I hope to take part in soon.... How I made this card.. I first of all stamped the flower spray on to some white stamping card (using Gina K's Black Amalgam Ink as you can use it for both alcohol and watercolour inks). Once it was dry, I then used a fine paint brush to add Cosmic Shimmer Masking Fluid to the flower image and then let it dry again overnight. I then used green, purple and blue shades of Dreamees Sparkle Re-inkers to create the background and let that dry too.  Once that was ok, I then rubbed away the masking fluid to reveal the white stamped image - I must admit, I probably wouldn't use the fluid again to do this as it rubbed some of the ink away. I wanted the flowers to be sparkly too, so ...
