BOO! - Witch on broomstick Halloween scene 7"x5" card

Image
BOO! - Witch on broomstick Halloween scene 7"x5" card Hi Craft addicts! I have had fun making this Halloween card using some Peel-off stickers on a background that I coloured myself. How I made this card:- I had coloured the background some time ago using various distress and dye inks from Tim Holtz and Altenew to make it look like a landscape at night - I had masked off the moon using a circle of card and then added some Black ink to take the edge of it. I used various Halloween peel off stickers (from Craft Creations) and added them to the background to make a scene. Once I was happy with it, I then added it on to a slightly larger white layer and then again attached that on to a bigger one - I also highlighted the edge of the middle one and added a border to the larger of the 2 and coloured it in using a bluey-green alcohol marker. I finally added it on to a 7" x 5" white landscape tentfold card. Finally, I added the words BOO just near to the w...

Happy Halloween Haunted House 7x5in card

Happy Halloween Haunted House 7x5in card  Hi Craft addicts! So today's card is another Halloween card - this time using the really cute Haunted House stamp from Hunkydory's For the Love of Stamps Halloween collection. How I made this card:- I took a tree silhouette stamp and added it to either side of a 7" x 5" white card and then added the cute Pumpkin stamp in the middle of them. I stamped the Haunted House stamp on some white super smooth card - Hunkydory, Creative Crafting World or Craftwork Cards or Tattered Lace all do this. I then coloured it in using Zig Clean Color Pens including their fluorescent yellow one for the lighting! I coloured the background on a pre-cut deckle edged topper (from Craft Creations) using Tim Holtz Distress Inks and Altenew inks (Greens, blues and black) masking off the right top hand corner with a piece of card to add the moon. I then added a border to it using a Black fineliner pen and then coloured it in using a ...

Boo! Halloween card with witches hat and sentiment designed in Brother Scan n Cut... Hi Craft addicts! So today's Halloween themed card is one that I have made using some designs I created and cut out using my Brother Scan n Cut... How I made the card... I first of all went into CANVAS (the web app that Brother scan n Cut operates) and designed both the Boo. and Witches Hat toppers - (if you want to know how I did it just get in touch - I am also working out how to create these as files so I can add them to my website! Once I was happy with them, I cut them out in both Black (Lynda Chapman's from Creative Crafting World) and Orange (from American Crafts) - I had made the hat slightly smaller so I knew that there would be a small border) and glued them both together. I then cut out the black rectangle using the largest of the Tattered Lace pin dot dies and the gold one (I think it is a Spellbinders die) in Mirri card. I stuck them both together and g...

Hubble Bubble ... cauldron, cat and spider's web window card

Hubble Bubble ... cauldron, cat and spider's web window card Hi Craft addicts! I thought I would try and write a post every other day with the theme of Halloween. I think I find it more fun to do than Gunpowder Plot (Guy Fawkes) as I really don't like the idea of the burning of his effigy.. anyway I digress which I think I am well used to. Today's card is one that put on Instagram yesterday, and it is an arched C5 window aperture one which I have used to add the topper inside it. How I made this card:- I used a pre-cut deckle edged white hammered piece of card (approx 120x70mm) and first of all added a thin border around it using a Black fineliner pen. I then added the Halloween themed peel off stickers to make a scene. Masking the border off, I then coloured the background in using various shades of blue distress inks (Tim Holtz - Broken China, Salty Ocean and Peacock Feathers), not worrying too much if I went over the peel offs as I then used ...

Vampires, Pumpkins and bats....  Hi Craft addicts! Well it is a long time since I last wrote a post about the cards I make and so I thought it about time I did one! I had great fun making this one as it was not too difficult and I was able to use various stamps and Distress Inks (I really want to get some Tim Holtz Distress Oxides inks as they look great!). I had had this pink 6" window triple aperture card for ages and it was beginning to fade a bit so I decided to cut the 3rd flap off and make it a normal card. I first of all used the apertures to draw boxes on the inside of the card and then added a border around the front of the card. I then coloured the inside of this border using Tim Holtz "Picked Raspberry" and "Festive Berries" distress inks. " I then used the "Halloween" stamps from Hunkydory's "For the Love of STamps" series and added the Bat, Monster, Dracula and Pumpkin to each of the boxes ins...

Hello - Daisy in a frame hand coloured 7x5in card

Hello - Daisy in a frame hand coloured 7x5in card Hi Craft addicts! I haven't posted anything for a while but thought I better do one otherwise you might forget me lol. For this 7x5in card, I used the Dainty Daisy stamp collection from the For the Love of Stamps set (from Hunkydory) along with some Altenew and Tim Holtz Distress inks and a die from Spellbinders. How I made this card:- I had some of the Hunkydory matts and layers (they do them in Oval, Round and Square) and wanted to use them so first of all took the largest of the oval white matt and cut the frame out using a Spellbinders die. Whilst still in the die, I coloured it using the "Warm and Cosy" inks from Altenew (they are beautiful Orange shades) along with a bit of yellow in the centre (though I left the middle white).  I also used a fineliner pen to add some faux stitching around the edge and then took it out. I repeated the process with the "Hello" sentiment from the "Daint...

Steampunk Owl on DL portrait card using Graphic 45 paper....

Steampunk Owl on DL portrait card using Graphic 45 paper.... Hi Craft addicts! Today's card is a DL cream linen effect card which I have embossed with gold glitter and some Graphic 45 paper. How I made this card:- I had this scrap of paper (from Steampunk Spells from Graphic 45) I think - and so cut a rectangle out using a Creative Expressions Panel die making sure that the owl and raven were the main focal points. I then backed it onto some black card (Lynda Chapman's from Creative Crafting World). I then used some of the stamps from the "Time to Celebrate" collection from Hunkydory's For the Love of Stamps set - either using Versafine "Vintage Sepia" (for the larger clock) or some Perfect Medium (or Versamark) and gold glittery embossing powder from Dreamees. I placed the whole panel on to the front of the card with some foam pads to give it some height.  And there you are  - a fun general Steampunk Owl themed card that has been made...

Home Sweet Home - Magic Fairy toadstool shaped card

Home Sweet Home - Magic Fairy toadstool shaped card Hi Craft addicts! It's been a few days since I have been on here - apologies for that but aim to rectify that! This card is a fun "New Home" card that I have made using mainly Hunkydory products from their shaped cards to their "For the love of stamps collection. How I made this card:- I used a pre-cut deckle edged off white square panel (from Craft Creations) and stamped the circle (from Rare Earth) in "Onyx Black" Versafine ink. I then stamped the "toadstool house" in the circle (again using Versafine) and then coloured it in using Zig Clean Color pens in red, orange, brown and yellow. Using Altenew inks (green shades) I then added the grass and leaves and shaded them using a waterbrush. I also added the flowers in each corner using "Broken China" (blue) Tim Holtz Distress inks and the "Dragonflies" in the Versafine black ink. I then attached the panel onto ...
