Day 169 of my 365 day challenge

Hi Craft addicts!

 Today's card for my 365 day challenge has been made using Chameleon pencils and a Stamps By Me die along with a Hug.. for your friendship stamps.


 How I made this card:-

  • I first of all cut out the flower die (from Stamps By Me) in black card stock and as it stays within it, I then added some white linen effect card on the back and cut round both.
  • I then coloured the image in using Chameleon pencils (they are great as they are double ended so you can shade things easily). As you can see I used Orange and Yellows for the flowers and greens for the leaves.
  • I used a panel of brown card (either Lynda Chapman's World of Paper or American Crafts) which measures about 4" x 6" and added it to a landscape fold 7" x 5" white hammered effect card.
  • I then added the flower to the centre of the card and added 3 jewel style gems (from Hobby House) to the top left hand side. I also added some Morning Dew Nuvo drops to the flower and leaves to represent dew.
  • I stamped out the sentiment "Hugs" out on to a pre cut label tag  using Onyx Black Versafine ink and edged it using a red alcohol marker.
  • Finally, I stamped the message "For your friendship" inside the card again using the Versafine ink.

And there you are an easy card to make by just using a Stamps by Me die, Chameleon Pencils and some bling...

  Hi Craft addicts! Today's latest handmade card for my 365 day challenge is this one made totally from scratch. I used the largest circle (about 4") Petit Picot edge die from Spellbinders and cut out two pieces of card - the front is Paper Dienamic Metallink A4 card and the back part is Sheena Douglass A4 white willow card. I scored the back part about 3/4" towards the top and married the two pieces together and added some red liner tape, removed the carrier sheet and stuck them to each other. The black frame is cut out of Lynda Chapman's Black card using the Inverted Scallop die from Crafter's Companion Gemini collection and I stuck it to the front of the card using a dotty pen as it allows the glue to only go on places it needs to. Congrats... square card - 365 day challenge

Hi Craft addicts!       Today's latest handmade card for my 365 day challenge is this Congratulations stamp and some patterned paper. I must admit i can't remember who produced this patterned paper but think it is Paper Boutique from Creative Crafting World.. I rounded the corners of a 5" white square card and thought I would use it as a tent fold (that is with the fold at the top). I then cut out a piece of this foliage patterned paper so that there was a narrow border left when I placed it on the front of the card. Instead of adding a layer of black card behind it, I edged it with a Black alcohol marker and stuck it on using a tape runner pen - so many companies now do them or you could used  a light layer of PVA glue. I then cut a narrow panel (about 2") of the same paper so that it fitted the card and then stuck it to a slightly wider panel of Lynda Chapman's Black cardstock and stuck that to the card slightly left of the card front. There's Gnome one quite like you 7x5 inch card - 365 day challenge

Hi Craft addicts!       Today's latest handmade card for my 365 day challenge is a fun one using a mix of dies and stamps.. I first of all stamped out the Forest Gnome stamp from Francoise Reads collection by Woodware Stamps (part of the Creative Expressions company) using Gina K Obsidian Black ink. I coloured it in using Crafter's Companion Spectrum Noir Triblenders and cut each element out as I decided I wanted to use them separately to make up my design. I then cut out the Cracks and Pots dies from Carnation Crafts in white watercolour card and again coloured them in using a variety of the Triblenders until I was happy with the blending. I coloured a small panel of white stamping card (approximately 5" x 4") with Tim Holtz Salty Ocean Distress Oxide for the sky and then a green ink from Simon Hurley - both from Ranger.
