Wedding or Valentine's Day gift box

Wedding Day or Valentine's Day gift box

Hi Craft Addicts!

As mentioned in my last post, I made this box to hold the Heart gift I had made as a wedding gift...

The box is the Cream/Ivory multi media 5" x 5" box from Graphic 45 which I thought would make a lovely presentation box for the gift as it is very sturdy and looks good without having to add too many decorations - I have come to the conclusion that I don't really like things that are too fussy!

Gift box top - personalised with heartsFirst of all I stamped the floral heart onto white card using the stamp from the Vine Heart set from Tonic Studios and then cut it out using the die that is in the set.

I then used the die to cut out a "block" red heart in red linen cardstock which you can get from Craft Creations and the intricate heart in white linen cardstock which again I got from them too.

I coloured the floral heart in green and orange using Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers and stuck it to the panel using Collall All Purpose Glue (it gives a bit of "wiggle" time to get it in the right position and then glued the white detailed heart on to the red panel and stuck it on the panel too.

Once dry, I stuck the panel on to the reverse of the lid (it is hinged so it opens up) making sure that the hearts were in the right place and let it dry.

I then used Tonic Studios Alphabet dies and cut out in both red and white, the relevant letters including the "&". I placed the white solid letters in the place I wanted them, this time using Cosmic Shimmer PVA glue and then added the outline letters on top slightly offset so it gave a drop shadow effect and did the same to the "&" one too. Using the Red Berry Nuvo Crystal drops I added 3 pearl drops to the remaining corners and allowed them to dry.

Gift Box - inside - paper confetti hearts with gift
Using an EK Success heart shaped punch, I cut some red and white tissue paper hearts and scattered them in the base of the box and placed the gift on top (I wouldn't leave it in the cello wrap bag but I was sending it out) and then place some more hearts on top of that!

And there you are - a stylish gift box that can be used for any occasion where you want to show the person or people you care!

I have also shown below other colour variations and will be selling this gift box on my website soon.
