Merry Christmas to all circle Christmas Card - 365 day challenge

Image
Hi Craft addicts! Today's latest handmade card for my 365 day challenge is this one made totally from scratch. I used the largest circle (about 4") Petit Picot edge die from Spellbinders and cut out two pieces of card - the front is Paper Dienamic Metallink A4 card and the back part is Sheena Douglass A4 white willow card. I scored the back part about 3/4" towards the top and married the two pieces together and added some red liner tape, removed the carrier sheet and stuck them to each other. The black frame is cut out of Lynda Chapman's Black card using the Inverted Scallop die from Crafter's Companion Gemini collection and I stuck it to the front of the card using a dotty pen as it allows the glue to only go on places it needs to. I had a scrap piece of red cardstock and I cut the oval bauble (from Creative Expressions Sue Wilson Festive Collection Sparkle Baubles set) and then used silver mirror card to cut out the top part. I glued them both to the card usin...

Dachsund through the snow.. DL Christmas card - 365 day challenge

Image
Hi Craft addicts! Today's latest handmade card for my 365 day challenge is this fun Christmas card which is very simple to make... I used a DL card (from Hunkydory) and scored the left and right hand sides several times to give it some interest. I then rounded the corners using the Stamps by Me 3 in 1 punch. I put it to one side to concentrate on the topper which is part of the mini stamp set from For the Love of Stamps pun collection. I added all of the stamps on to a stamping platform positioning it where I felt they looked right and stamped it several times with Gina K Obsidian black ink to give it a crisp effect on to a panel of white card and trimmed it until I felt it was the right size (approximately 3" x 2"). I used Hunkydory's Prism watercolour pencils to colour the dog in and blended the colours with some water. I had some Salty Ocean Distress Oxide ink left on a blending brush so used it to add a background colour to the topper, rounded the corners and then...

Season's Greetings with Robin 6in square card - 365 day challenge

Image
Hi Craft addicts! Today's latest handmade card for my 365 day challenge is this Christmas card which is really simple to make. I used a 6" square white card (I use either Hunkydory or Paper Boutique as they are really good quality) and rounded the corners with my new Stamps by Me 3-1 corner punch. I then took a piece of the snowflake paper from Paper Boutique's Christmas Gnomes 8" paper pad and cut it to 5" square and again rounded the corners and stuck it to the front of the card using a Tape pen. Using Tattered Lace's Filigree Poppy Doily die set, I cut out the matt layer in yellow linen effect card and the more intricate panel in white and stuck them together using a Dotty tape pen so the glue only went on the bits that needed it. The Season's Greetings sentiment was made using Lisa Horton's Christmas stamp and die collection. I first of all stamped the frame out using Gina K Obsidian Black ink and then added the sentiment afterwards.  I also add...

Have a Quacking Christmas 7x5in card - 365 day challenge

Image
Hi Craft addicts! Today's latest handmade card is a Christmas card for my 365 day challenge...I hope you like it. Using my Hunkydory Adorable Scoreboard, I scored two lines down the left hand side and 6 lines at the bottom of the card to add some interest to the card as I wanted this card to be predominately white. I had used a scalloped edge die to cut out the circle and then used the waste of a smaller circle die cut to ink through it using yellows and orange hybrid inks to create the sun. I then used Tim Holtz Distress Oxide inks to colour the sky in and then edged it with a black alcohol marker. The Snowman and Goose along with the sentiment are from For the Love of Stamps and Crafter's Companion Gemini stamp collections and I stamped them on to some scraps of white card using Gina K Obsidian Black ink and then coloured them in using Spectrum Noir Triblender markers. I fussy cut around them all, colouring the sentiment topper with a lighter shade of the sun and stuck that d...

May the Season be a treat... A6 card - 365 day challenge

Image
Hi Craft addicts! Today's latest handmade card for my 365 day challenge is a very quick and simple card to make using no dies whatsoever. I first of all rounded the corners of an A6 white card (any will do) - I either use the new one from Stamps by Me which has 3 different size of punch in one or the Hunkydory Prism one which just has one). I took one of the toppers from the Paper Boutique Gnome Christmas set and stuck it to some Green linen effect card and rounded the corners of them too. I fussy cut a strip of the holly paper that comes within the set (approximately 1.5") and placed it the centre of another sheet of the same green card and then trimmed it to fit the front, rounded the corners of it and attached it using a tape pen (either Create & Craft or Crafter's Companion). I added the topper to some cream card and trimmed around it so it had a really narrow border and placed it in the middle of the card using some foam pads to give it some height. So if you thin...

2022 Easel Mini Calendar Gingerbread 7" x 5" - 365 Day challenge

Image
Hi Craft addicts! Today's latest project is slightly different as it is a calendar for next year that I have made using a 7" x 5" landscape card,  dies and a stamp... I took a 7" x 5" white card (from Paper Boutique) - which was a landscape format but I scored the back side in the centre and folded it back and used PVA glue to stick it down to the front (if that makes sense!) I cut a small piece of scrap card and folded it to form a "W" and glued it inside the card so that it didn't collapse when you opened it. I then used a Spellbinders Petit Picot edged rectangle die and cut out the background using Paper Dienamics Metallinks card. I added the mini 2022 calendar to it using a Tape pen (you could use PVA glue but I like using the pen as it doesn't mark the card). I stuck it to the bottom of the cardstock with a dotty tape pen so that it stuck without any glue coming through. I had a scrap of brown card and so used the Tim Holtz Mini Texture Fa...

Christmas 2021 - Brrr.... 365 day challenge

Image
Hi Craft addicts! Today's handmade card for my 365 day challenge is a Christmas card themed one using dies, stamps and alcohol markers. I rounded the corners of an A6 Kraft card (from Tonic Studios) using my Hunkydory punch. I then took a piece of white card, cut it to fit the front of the card and also rounded the corners of that too and attached it using a solid Tape pen (either Create & Craft or Crafter's Companion). I cut out the oval frame using Spellbinders Oval Petit Picot edged die in both the brown Metallink card (from Paper Dienamics) without the centre die and then again in white card, this time adding it so that I could use it to stamp on. I stamped the Snowman image (part of Crafter's Companion Wobblers collection) using Gina K Obsidian Black ink and coloured it in using alcohol markers. I then used some residue ink left on my blending brushes to colour its' background and then stuck it to the oval frame using the tape pen. I decided to attach it to one...

Mini Card Challenge 5 - Live life in the moment small card - 365 day challenge

Image
Hi Craft addicts! Today's latest handmade mini card (the last one for the moment in my challenge within my 365 day challenge) is this small gift tag or mini card... I first of all cut out two pieces of white card using the Tattered Lace rectangle die. I scored one of them at the top and then added some red liner tape to the top and attached them together making sure that they were matched up. I then used one of Lisa Horton's stencils and coloured the front of it with hybrid inks (mix of Tim Holtz Distress Oxide, Harmony and Nuvo ink pads). I used one of Lisa Horton sticker sentiments (black on white) and attached it to some lilac paper/card, fussy cut around it and then stuck it to some of Lynda Chapman's Black card and fussy cut around that. I used some foam pads to add it to the centre of the card, attaching it at a jaunty angle. So if you think this sounds interesting then why not:- Follow us on Twitter       Like us on Facebook        ...

Mini Card Challenge 4 - Yay it's party time! A7 card - 365 day challenge

Image
Hi Craft addicts! Today's latest card for my mini challenge within a challenge is this A7 card using dies, stamps and inks...       The card is once again from Hunkydory and I rounded the corners with one of their punches. I then took a piece of purple card/paper and fussy cut it to fit the front of the card and stuck it on the front using a tape pen rather than PVA glue. I used Creative Expressions Pixie powders to create the background by tapping some of their brilliant colours on to some watercolour card and spritzed it with some water and let it dry. Whilst that was happening I die cut the rectangle frame (medium sized one from Tonic Studios) several times in white card and glued them together. I then edged it with a black alcohol marker. I stamped out the balloons and bear on to some white cardstock using the Birthday bear boy collection from Crafter's Companion Gemini collection, again using Gina K Obsidian Black ink. I coloured them in using the Spectrum Noi...
